For those of you that are near the Twin Cities, you will be fortunate enough to be able to see the action live as it occurs. For those of us that are not close enough for that Ben Gedeon Jersey , and don’t want to find ourselves at the mercy of TEH ILLEGAL STREAMZ, we are mostly reliant on the NFL Network and their willingness to replay every preseason game, even if they do generally take place at ridiculously early times. Or ridiculously late, depending on your perspective. So, with the start of the games that don’t count upon us, we’ve combed the NFL Network’s schedule to determine when the replays of the games are coming. That way, you can set your alarm, your DVR, or your Mr. Coffee. . .I think Mr. Coffee is still a thing. . .for the appropriate time. With that, here we go!Preseason Week 1 - Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans SaintsLive broadcast - FOX-9, 7:00 PM Central, Friday, 9 AugustNFL Network Replay #1 - 10:00 PM Central, Friday, 9 AugustNFL Network Replay #2 - 12:00 PM Central Cameron Smith Minnesota Vikings Jerseys , Monday, 12 AugustPreseason Week 2 - Seattle Seahawks at Minnesota VikingsLive broadcast - FOX-9, 7:00 PM Central, Sunday, 18 August (will be nationally televised by FOX as well)NFL Network Replay #1 - 2:00 AM Central, Monday, 19 AugustNFL Network Replay #2 - 12:00 PM Central, Wednesday, 21 AugustPreseason Week 3 - Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota VikingsLive broadcast - NFL Network, 12:00 PM Central, Saturday, 24 AugustNFL Network Replay #1 - 11:00 PM Central, Tuesday, 27 AugustNFL Network Replay #1 - 9:00 AM Central, Thursday Minnesota Vikings Jerseys 2019 , 29 AugustPreseason Week 4 - Minnesota Vikings at Buffalo BillsLive broadcast - FOX-9, 6:00 PM Central, Thursday, 29 AugustNFL Network Replay #1 - 3:00 AM Central, Friday, 30 AugustSo far, it looks like there’s just the one replay for the Bills game, but with final cutdowns needing to be completed by 3:00 PM Central on Saturday, 31 August, I’m not sure if anyone’s going to care about that one after that point anyway. I believe I’ve gotten all the broadcasts for the NFL Network, but if I did happen to miss one feel free to share it in the comments section. As we do every week, as we get closer to game time we’ll put up our posts about how you can watch the game. For the preseason contests, that will include a full listing of local affiliates that will be airing the game. FOX-9 is just the flagship station for the games in the Twin Cities area. It’s almost here, ladies and gentlemen. Can you feel it?

No new posts Power Rankings 2018 Week 3: New team
NFL at the top and bottom Week 2 of the 2018 NFL season is complete Miami Dolphins Jerseys Stitched , which means it is time to review the action from this past weekend and start looking forward to the upcoming weekend’s slate of games. It also means it is time to update our 2018 NFL Power Rankings for Week 3. This week’s power rankings have some oddities in it, with losing teams gaining positions and winning teams losing positions. This comes as the pre-season/Week 1 rankings starting to move into what we are actually seeing on the field. This week’s rankings also see a new team move into the top spot, while a new teams slides into the 32nd position as well. How does it all shake out? Changes at the topThe defending Super Bowl champions relinquish the top spot this week as the Philadelphia Eagles fall from number one to number five following a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We also see the Minnesota Vikings, who tied with the Green Bay Packers, fall one position and the New England Patriots move out of the top five, moving from three to six after a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. At the top now are the Los Angeles Rams, who dominated the Arizona Cardinals to move to 2-0 on the season and up three spots in the rankings. Just behind them, the Jacksonville Jaguars move from fifth up to the second position after beating the Patriots. The top ten continues after the sixth-place Patriots with he New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs, who remain in the seventh- and eighth-positions this week. New Orleans beat the Cleveland Browns this week, while the Chiefs beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. It feels like the Chiefs should see a jump up the rankings with that win Chandler Cox Jersey nfl draft , but it also feels like the teams ahead of them all deserve to be there. The Atlanta Falcons hold the ninth position, a one position move from last week’s tenth spot, after a win over the Carolina Panthers, while the Los Angeles Chargers are 12th. a two position climb, after a win over the Buffalo Bills. Miami DolphinsThe Dolphins jump from 15th to 11th in the rankings, the biggest jump we have seen thus far in the rankings, but not the biggest move of the week. The Dolphins beat the New York Jets on Sunday, moving to 2-0 on the year and starting to make people re-look the South Florida franchise. A win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 3 could push the Dolphins into a top ten team in these rankings.Biggest Gain of WeekThe Cincinnati Bengals jump from 26th to 17th this week, a nine position move as the team climbs to 2-0 on the season. They are probably still a little low for an undefeated team, especially when there is actually a team with no wins (Pittsburgh Steelers at 0-1-1) ahead of them Super Bowl Chandler Cox Jersey , but they were low in the Week 1 rankings so they are making leaps up the board and should be up where they belong next week if they win again.Biggest Fall of WeekThe Houston Texans match the Bengals’ climb with a nine-position fall for themselves, going from 14th to 23rd. They just nudge out the Baltimore Ravens, who move from 13th to 21st on an eight-position slide. Houston lost to the Tennessee Titans this past week and are now 0-2 on the year, the first of the seven teams to lose both of their first two games on the year. The CellarThe bottom of nour rankings includes five of the seven teams sitting at 0-2 on the year. The Texans and Seattle Seahawks are the only 0-2 teams not in the bottom five, with he Oakland Raiders 28th, the New York Giants 29th, the Detroit Lions 30th, the Buffalo Bills 31st, and the Arizona Cardinals 32nd. The Lions are the weird team that lost and moved up two position, climbing out of the last place position with a 30-27 loss to the San Francisco 49ers - a loss that made them look a little better than they did in their Week 1 loss. The Bills are still floating just above that position Football Chandler Cox Jersey , while the Cardinals’ 34-0 loss to the Rams pushes them down two spots, meaning that game featured the top and bottom team in the rankings.FloridaRandom fun fact: There are seven 2-0 teams in the league. All three Florida teams are included in that group.Undefeated teams1 - Los Angeles Rams (2-0)2 - Jacksonville Jaguars (2-0)3 - Minnesota Vikings (1-0-1)4 - Green Bay Packers (1-0-1) 8 - Kansas City Chiefs (2-0)11 - Miami Dolphins (2-0)13 - Denver Broncos (2-0)14 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0)17 - Cincinnati Bengals (2-0)2018 NFL Power Rankings Week 7RankTeamLWResultsChangeRankTeamLWResultsChange DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Ryan Tannehill is throwing the ball 50 yards in side sessions, and the Miami Dolphins would love to see those passes in a game.Maybe this week.Tannehill made progress during the team’s bye week in his rehabilitation from a throwing shoulder injury, and remains on schedule to meet his goal of returning Sunday at Indianapolis. There are significant hurdles yet to be cleared. Coach Adam Gase said Monday he didn’t even know whether Tannehill will participate fully in practice this week, but sounded upbeat about his quarterback’s recent progress.“I feel like it is forever since I’ve seen him throw,” Gase said. “To me he looks like what he once looked like.”Brock Osweiler has gone 2-3 starting for Tannehill. The injury-plagued Dolphins are 5-5 and tied for sixth place in the AFC with the Colts and three other teams. The Dolphins’ eagerness to get Tannehill back in the lineup is magnified because their offense has gone nine quarters without a touchdown. Osweiler’s most recent scoring pass came four games ago.Tannehill has said he’s resigned to throwing with pain the rest of the year because of an injury to his shoulder capsule in Week 5. He’s now targeting receivers on the move, but his shoulder stamina remains a concern and needs to be tested by the intensity of practice, Gase said.“He can throw it down the field now,” Gase said. “It looks good. It’s just all about how many times.”Gase is wary of a setback and said he wants to decide soon on a starter for Sunday.“I’m running out of time Jesse Davis Jersey ,” he said. “We can’t be wrong and start the week one way, and then flip when we get to Friday.”Miami’s first practice of the week — and first since Nov. 9 — will be Tuesday. While Tannehill’s progress was encouraging, the Dolphins took another hit on the health front when they decided to place receiver-returner Jakeem Grant on injured reserve with a lower leg injury that required surgery. Grant ranks second in the NFL in both kickoff returns and punt returns. He was hurt in the loss at Green Bay a week ago, and initially the team hoped he might return this year. Miami lost another dynamic receiver, Albert Wilson, to a season-ending hip injury in Week 7.Receiver DeVante Parker might return this week from a shoulder injury, Gase said. He said the status this week of starting offensive tackles Laremy Tunsil (knee) and Ja’Wuan James (knee) was uncertain. Cornerback Bobby McCain remained in the concussion protocol. The AFC race tightened Sunday with the Dolphins idle. They have a chance to make the playoffs for only the third time in the past 17 seasons even though they’ve been outgained by 787 yards and outscored by 57 points.“It’s who can have the best six-game season,” Gase said. “To give ourselves a chance in December to create our own destiny — that’s what we wanted when we started this thing.”

THANKS FOR MAKING US FEEL BETTER Los Angeles Rams Jerseys 2019 , TD!" 2019 Los Angeles Rams Regular Season2019 Los Angeles Rams OffseasonFormer NFL star RB Terrell Davis: “I fear that this is the beginning of the end of Todd GurleykShare this on TwitterShareAll sharing optionsShareAll sharing options for:Former NFL star RB Terrell Davis: “I fear that this is the beginning of the end of Todd Gurley”TwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailThat was former NFL star RB Terrell Davis on NFL Network’s NFL Total Access last night.Davis didn’t voice anything we haven’t heard (or said) before, but to see it seeping into the former player punditry of NFL Media is perhaps new.Given what Davis’ colleague at NFL Media Ian Rapoport said yesterday as well, it’s a randomly forboding day of coverage for Just Todd Gurley’s knee as the Rams close out the final week of organized team activities before holding the optional minicamp next week ahead of a summer break that will precede training camp, preseason and the forthcoming 2019 regular season. After five weeks, fantasy owners of Dalvin Cook and Devonta Freeman are lamenting those draft picks, while those who gambled on Austin Ekeler and Tyler Boyd feel as if their fantasy IQs went up sharply.Week 6 constitutes a make-or-break moment for a host of players who have yet to live up to their preseason projections, along with those labeled as breakouts who are still digging to see the light of the expectations placed among them.START: Jameis Winston, QB, Buccaneers: Making his first start of the season, Winston gets a plum matchup against a Falcons secondary that has been strafed for 12 touchdown passes and is 28th in fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks. Winston was 16 of 20 for 145 yards and a touchdown after mopping up for Ryan Fitzpatrick in a loss at the Bears. He won't waste time getting the ball downfield to Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson, so plug him in and watch him make up for lost time.SIT: Jared Goff, QB, Rams: Receivers Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp both remain in concussion protocol and while it's possible both will play Darrell Henderson black jersey , the matchup at the Broncos is filled with hurdles. Goff has been just OK on the road, averaging a modest 18 fantasy points in his first two road games compared to the 33 PPG he has averaged in three games in Los Angeles. Facing the Denver pass rush is also an issue, but Mother Nature will be the biggest reason to sit Goff, as the forecast Sunday calls for snow flurries and temperatures in the mid- to upper-20s at kickoff.START: James White, RB, Patriots: Even with Julian Edelman back and Josh Gordon continuing to be added into the flow of the passing game, White remains a great play for the potential Sunday night slugfest against the Chiefs. In the last two games, White has 18 catches for 145 yards and two touchdowns and will maintain that type of production against a Kansas City defense that allows seven catches and 90 yards per game to opposing running backs. In PPR formats, White is a borderline RB1 this week.SIT: Adrian Peterson, RB, Redskins: The injuries (ankle, knee, shoulder) are piling up on Peterson, who had only six yards on four carries in the Monday night loss at New Orleans. The Panthers have the sixth-best run defense in the league and it's unlikely the Redskins will give him a full workload. If Peterson is limited, it will be a mild disappointment for those who've used him as a sneaky good pass catcher in PPR formats.START: Tyler Boyd Darrell Henderson Jersey Mens , WR, Bengals: Only the Buccaneers and Saints allow more fantasy points per game to opposing receivers than the Steelers, who can no longer put the bulk of their focus solely on A.J. Green. Boyd has caught nearly 70 percent of his targets and has seven catches of better than 20 yards, making him an excellent WR2 play against a Pittsburgh pass defense that has given up 13 touchdown passes and 21 completions of better than 20 yards.SIT: Amari Cooper, WR, Raiders: He's become too inconsistent, drawing only one target in last week's loss to the Chargers. Whatever the cause of the disconnect between him and quarterback Derek Carr, Cooper's down-up-down-up-down act is already wearing thin with his fantasy owners. The Seahawks secondary is no longer the feared unit it once was, but they are still ninth in the league in passing yards allowed per game and are second with nine interceptions. Maybe Cooper continues his yo-yo trend, but there's little motivation to risk a spot in the lineup for it.START: Chester Rogers, WR, Colts: With T.Y. Hilton doubtful, Rogers again plays the role of top wideout for Indianapolis, who faces a Jets team that is 26th in fantasy points allowed per game to opposing receivers. This should play well for Rogers, who was targeted 11 times in each of the last two games. He has yet to score a touchdown this season yet the high volume of targets from Andrew Luck only increases the chances of him finally visiting the end zone.SIT: Greg Olsen Darrell Henderson Jersey Cheap , TE, Panthers: Yes, he's slated to play against the Redskins on Sunday. However, there is no indication as to how much he'll be used. Either way, Olsen will need this game to get back into form. Washington is a modest 17th in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, so there's no need to feel that Olsen is missing a must-start opportunity. Olsen owners will be best off using this game as a gauge to how far along he is before becoming a viable fantasy starter once again.START: Andy Dalton, QB, Bengals: After failing to throw multiple touchdown passes for the first time this year in last week's loss to the Dolphins, Dalton will make up for lost chances against the Steelers, who are 31st in fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks. Dalton is averaging a solid 23 fantasy points per game and will exceed that number facing a defense that's allowing 320.4 passing yards and nearly three touchdown passes per contest.SIT: Dion Lewis, RB, Titans: Since scoring 16 fantasy points in Week 1, Lewis has a combined 15 FP in the last four games. The Titans have been unable to effectively utilize Lewis, who has only 60 rushing yards on 25 attempts over his last three games. Don't expect those numbers to suddenly trend upward against a Ravens defense that is seventh in the league in rushing yards allowed and has given up only two rushing touchdowns all season.

Blessed with all kinds of explosive physical talents, Nkemdiche was an underachiever at Ole Miss and then, in a drunken stupor at a party, he fell from a second story balcony about as fast as he slid down the 1st round draft board. The Cardinals spent a good deal of time with Diche before the 2016 draft. Steve Keim and Bruce Arians were high on Diche’s talent and thought they could be getting a Darnell Dockett type disruptor to eventually fill the void of defensive line standout Calais Campbell---a player whom Arians called out for underperforming during the Cardinals’ 2015 13-3 season.Campbell turned in one of his best seasons in 2016, his last with Arizona, earning distinction as a 2nd Team All-Pro (as he was in 2014). In 2017. after signing a 4 year $60 contract ($30M guaranteed) with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Campbell was a unanimous 1st team All-Pro. And this past season, Campbell earned his 4th invitation to the Pro Bowl. The deciding vote to draft Diche was cast by Michael Bidwill, who, at the time, stated that as a former attorney he felt he had developed an intuitive sense of how to judge character. After interviewing Diche, Bidwill gave Keim and Arians the thumb’s-up.Meanwhile, Robert Nkemdiche Black Mason Cole Jersey , now entering his 4th year with the Cardinals, has prolonged his underachievement on the football field, thanks to a variety of leg injuries, questions about his maturity and a growing sense, especially now in light of his recent arrest for going 75 in 45 MPH zone on a suspended driver’s license, that he lacks the character and durability to be a dependable and productive player. If the Cardinals can reach an injury settlement with Nkemdiche (who is currently rehabbing from a torn ACL), they could save somewhere between $1.2 and $1.5M on the cap, if they release him. if the Cardinals keep Nkemdiche, they can get him the counseling he needs and keep him on schedule with his ACL rehab for a return in late October or early November. The Cardinals have already declined the opportunity to pick up his 5th year option---which means that Nkemdiche has much to prove upon his return, if he is going to garner serious interest in the 2020 free agency market. If Nkemdiche signs a decent contract elsewhere, the Cardinals might be able to get a 2021 compensatory draft pick in return. Let’s face it---it would be very difficult to imagine the Cardinals investing more money in Nkemdiche on a 2nd contract, no matter what happens this season. But---perhaps the Cardinals can get something of value in return, either through a trade at the deadline to a team in desperate need for defensive line help or in the form of a compensatory pick. Cynics will say that there is no way Nkemdiche will get an attractive contract offer next year---but---as he did at Ole Miss in putting on tape a monster game versus Alabama in a rare upset win of the Crimson Tide---Nkemdiche’s monster game in 2018 versus the Chargers (7 tackles, 6 solo and 2 1/2 sacks) is very likely to whet the imaginations of coaches and GMs all across the league. That’s the tantalizing things about Diche---when he is dialed in---he is an undeniable force of nature.Should the Cardinals ditch Diche? In a year of mea culpas from Michael Bidwill and Steve Keim, moving on from Nkemdiche would seem natural. There has been media speculation that the Cardinals have been considering waiving him anyway. But Mason Cole Jersey 2019 , I strongly believe the Cardinals should give Diche the help he needs to get his mind and body straight. No one is better equipped to help him with this than Steve Keim. It’s not like Diche is a disruptive malcontent in the locker room. The irony is that Diche was one of the few bright spots last season among the “different personalities” that Steve Wilks and his staff were challenged with developing. Before his injury, Diche was having his best season as a Cardinal, registering 32 tackles, 22 of them solo, 4 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. The point it---his arrow was heading in the right direction. There were clear signs of him turning the corner. The ultimate test of character for Diche is ahead of him over the next few months. The Cardinals have a chance not only to help save Diche’s football career, they have a chance to help him save his life. Seeing as Michael Bidwill and Steve Keim believed enough in Diche to draft him, why not stick with him, offer him their full support and try to turn this chapter of woe and unfulfilled promise into a story of hope and perseverance. They also hired Dirk Koetter as their new offensive coordinator.“I think we are in a really good place,” Blank said. “I think that the coach and [General Manager] Thomas [Dimitroff] have made the most difficult decisions. Anytime that you’re talking about changes in personnel, at any level for whatever reasons, it’s always difficult. I think Dan made the right decisions for the right reasons. . . .“I think the staff that he’s put together, along with existing staff Youth Austin Hooper Jersey , is excellent.”The Falcons have some significant work to do this offseason on the roster as well, beginning with a new deal for defensive tackle Grady Jarrett. They also have to re-work the contract of wide receiver Julio Jones after getting by on some short-term fixes.

No new posts Operating in the middle of the Baltimore R
avens defensive line White Lamar Jackson Jersey , Brandon Williams is expected to bang helmets with one or two 300-pound brutes before pushing them aside so one of his teammates can make the tackle.Although the task is instrumental to the success of Baltimore's gritty defense, it often goes unnoticed by the casual fan and does not produce impressive statistical numbers."I'm totally fine with what I do," Williams said after practice Monday. "I know it's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it and I'm happy to raise my hand and volunteer. As long as my guys have my back and are making plays around me, that's all I care about."Told it's not exactly a sexy job, the 6-foot-1, 336-pound Williams smiled and said, "Oh White Mark Andrews Jersey , it's sexy. As long as I'm there, it's sexy."Drafted in the third round of the 2013 draft out of Missouri Southern State, Williams has been Baltimore's starting nose tackle for the past five years. He follows a long line of players who have effectively filled an unglamorous, pivotal position."A lot of interior linemen who have come through here and had the honor of being considered a Raven for life, the No. 1 thing they had was toughness," Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs said."Can you be mentally tough? Can you physically dominate the man across from you? I think Brandon Williams embodies that. He can be considered in the rare group of the Tony Siragusas, the Kelly Greggs, the Haloti Ngatas."The Ravens showed their appreciation to Williams in 2017 when they provided him with a five-year contract rather than allow him to test free agency.Last year Mark Andrews Jersey 2019 , he started the first two games, both of them victories in which Baltimore allowed a total of 10 points and forced 10 turnovers.Williams missed the next four games with a foot injury, and the Ravens won only one of them."When we lost him, we sunk a little bit," defensive line coach Joe Cullen said. "Brandon is the epitome of what you want an inside tackle to be. He's really quick for a big guy, but so strong he can get big knock-back at the point of attack."Williams has 188 career tackles, 4陆 sacks and one touchdown — on a fumble recovery he took in from the 1.These facts and figures do nothing to convey his importance to the Ravens."I'm a big Brandon Williams fan," coach John Harbaugh said. "Ask the offensive line coaches and the offensive linemen around the league how they feel about blocking him. He's a force in there. He takes up two blockers youth C.J. Mosley Jersey , sometimes more. He's very stout."You want great players everywhere, but in the middle of your defense it's important to have an anchor that can keep people from running inside and can create better angles for your defense. It's nice to have a big, physical run stopper. The Ravens have always had that. It's really been a staple here historically."Williams certainly doesn't mind being Baltimore's next man in the middle, but he's not interested in merely carrying on a tradition that began long ago."I want to play how I play," Williams said. "I'm not Haloti, even though he was a great player and I learned a lot from him. I want to do my own thing, just be whatever I can be for the team." No new posts But this Sunday probably will be"The Car
olina Panthers have impressed down the stretch of the 2018 season at staying right in the mix of the NFC Wild Card picture. It is impressive Donte Jackson Jersey White , mind you, because all of the contenders are hovering around .500 records and all it would have taken was two wins over the last five games to virtually seal a ticket to the post season. Instead, the Panthers have managed to lose ground in the running without completely falling out of the race. This says more about the general competence of the NFC this year than it does about the Panthers.Tonight is the last game of Week 15. There will be two games left on everybody’s schedule come tomorrow and a universally expected loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football won’t technically eliminate the Panthers from contention. Fivethirtyeight is forecasting a 5% chance that the Panthers make the playoffs after this weekend’s slate of games was factored in. I personally think that is generous, but weirder things have happened. The Panthers are trailing the Seattle Seahawks, the Minnesota Vikings, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys https://www.pantherslockerroom.com/authentic-dj-moore-jersey , and Washington. One of those three NFC East teams has to, by rule, win their division. That leaves four teams in the wild card race with a better record than Carolina. Only the Seahawks have a two game lead, plus the tie breaker on the Panthers. Washington also owns a tie breaker over the Panthers. If Seattle and Washington finish the season at 9-7 —the best possible record the Panthers could obtain— then they would each edge out the Panthers. That makes our rooting interests for these next two weeks easy as far as they are concerned. They both need to lose at least one game and preferably both. The Cowboys, at 8-6 presently, are in the best position to win their division. We can largely ignore them. If they end at 9-7 or 8-8 and somehow lose control of the NFC East then any tie in the records between Carolina and Dallas would default to the Panthers, courtesy of their season opening win. That leaves the Eagles and the Vikings. The Vikings currently stand a game and a half ahead of the Panthers. Their remaining opponents are the Lions https://www.pantherslockerroom.com/authentic-curtis-samuel-jersey , who the Panthers couldn’t beat, and the Bears, who are actually good. They are the real threat. One more win by the Vikings puts the playoffs essentially out of reach for Carolina. The Eagles are facing the Texans and Washington. Since the Panthers have beaten Philadelphia this year and we are already rooting for Washington to lose out, we don’t ultimately care what they do yet. The Panthers get in over Philly in the event of a tie and they currently stand with as many losses as the Panthers have.It is safe to assume that the Panthers are going to lose at least one of their next three games. The Falcon’s offense is still dangerous at times and the Saints are simply better than the Panthers in all three phases of the game. If the Panthers lose two games then they are out regardless of what other teams do. They still have a narrow chance of making it if they only lose one game. That means, no matter what happens tonight —no matter how many scores they lose by— the Panthers will still have a shot at the playoffs tomorrow morning. Nobody in the NFC has more than a two game lead and there will still be two games remaining. In fact, a lot of fans were actually mad online about the Panthers’ closing the season with a win because it cost them seven spots in the draft (from No. 9 to No. 16 overall). Members of our FanPulse survey were no different — at the end of 2018 fan confidence was at a paltry 24 percent, which in non-mathematical terms is ‘not good’.Hey Panthers fans, wanna be part of something really awesome? Sure you do, right? If you are saying yes, then sign up for FanPulse here!Things changed once free agency hit, though. The Panthers made some solid additions to the roster — notably center Matt Paradis — and Panthers fans started feeling better about the direction of the team. Fan confidence jumped from 24 percent to 65 percent after free agency started Matt Paradis Jersey 2019 , and while it dipped a bit to 62 percent in our pre-draft poll it has jumped up to 75 percent after the draft.Panthers fans seem to be pleased with the Panthers’ draft results, which saw them address two of their biggest needs — pass rusher and offensive tackle. The Panthers drafted two pass rushers (Brian Burns and Christian Miller) and two offensive tackles (Greg Little and Dennis Daley). They also addressed their need for a backup quarterback with the selection of Will Grier. They also added a backup running back by taking Jordan Scarlett, and added some potential talent at wide receiver and kick returner with the selection of Terry Godwin. All in all, there’s a lot to be confident about right now if you’re a Panthers fan.So what about you, CSR? Are you confident in the direction of the Panthers? Why or why not?

Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsIn a move that surprised almost no one, the Minnesota Vikings have declined to pick up the option on S Andrew Sendejo, per Ian Rapoport:That will free up $5.5 million in much needed cap room for the Vikings, and with this move they are about $10-11 million under the cap, depending on what website you believe. As we head towards the beginning of the ‘legal tampering’ period, which begins later this afternoon, that number will most likely increase as more player contracts are re-structured, or players are released. For the Vikings, this means that will almost certainly tender restricted free agent Anthony Harris and keep him in the fold. Harris played exceptionally well in place of the injured Sendejo last year, making this move a no-brainer. And even though the Vikings released him, they could still finagle a compensatory draft pick next year:That is still to be determined, though Dru Samia Jersey nfl draft , but let’s hope Sendejo signs elsewhaere and the Vikings get something for him. So, it appears the first free agency domino falls for the Vikings. Stay tuned for more news coming up throughout the day. It’s an all time classic going up against a team we all love to hate"Our Greatest Playoff Win of All Time Tournament continues on, and we only have two more games before we get to our Elite Eight. Today, we’re looking at two games with different storylines, and one of these games might has a decent chance to win it all. I’ll give some highlights of each game, and I’ll put a poll at the end. The poll will be open for about 24 hours, you guys get to vote, and the winner by popular vote will advance. Today, our tournament continues with our next playoff win match up: The 1987 Divisional playoff versus the San Francisco 49ers against the 2000 Divisional playoff versus the New Orleans Saints.1987 Divisional playoff against the 49ers. 1987 was a weird, wild, wonderful year if you’re a Vikings fan. They only went 8-7 in a strike-shortened season that saw three games played by replacement players. The Replacement Vikings were terrible, going 0-3...but the real ones were pretty good. After a wild Thanksgiving overtime win over Dallas Ben Gedeon Jersey , they were 7-1 (minus the strike games), but stumbled at the end, losing three of four. They still made the playoffs, and after whipping the Saints in the wildcard round, got to travel to San Francisco to face the overwhelming Super Bowl favorite 49ers. This was in the middle of their Bill Walsh dynasty, and the 49ers just looked unstoppable. The Vikes were double digit underdogs, and I remember thinking ‘just don’t get embarrassed’.Oh, it was embarassing...for the 49ers. Anthony Carter became a Viking God that day, catching 10 passes for 227 yards, Najee Mustafaa (nee Reggie Rutland) had a pick six, and the Vikings dominated the game from beginning to end. In the second half, Joe Montana was so rattled and flustered he was benched for Steve Young. I’d have to go back and double check Cameron Smith Minnesota Vikings Jerseys , but I think that was the only time in Montana’s career that he was benched for a non-injury. Of all the wins in all of Vikings history, both regular and post-season, for me this game is the one I always think of as being right at the top. 2000 Divisional playoff against the Saints. I included this game because it was Denny Green’s last swan song with a really good team, as 2001 saw Korey Stringer (RIP, Big Man) die tragically in training camp, and Denny resigned with one game left before he could get fired. 2000 started off with Denny trying to coax Dan Marino out of retirement, but Marino stayed retired and Denny turned to second year pro Daunte Culpepper. It turned out to be the right move, as Culpepper had a monster year, throwing for over 3,900 yards and 33 TD’s (which led the NFL), and ran for another 470 yards. The 10-6 Saints came to Minneapolis pretty evenly matched with the Vikings, and with the way Minnesota had struggled to close the season (losing three straight to lose homefield advantage) Minnesota Vikings Jerseys 2019 , New Orleans seemed prime for an upset. But the Vikes regrouped and after a close first quarter, scored at the end of the half and early in the third quarter to take a 24-3 lead. Both Randy Moss and Cris Carter had receiving TD’s, and the defense mostly rebounded after a late season slump. The Saints scored late in the game to make it 34-16, but after halftime the Vikes turned this game into a laugher and it never really seemed that close. I felt really good about this team after this game, thinking whatever issues they had at the end of the regular season had been figured out. The clip below is part one of three parts, I think. I’m just posting the first part, as you can navigate the rest if you want to re-watch the whole game.

Falk was seen as a developmental quarterback by the Dolphins and someone they believed they could turn into a backup or someone to challenge for a starting role in the future. After the season, the Dolphins changed their coaching staff, though Falk remained on the roster. Ferguson totaled 67.5 tackles-for-loss as well as 45 sacks. Ferguson was clearly extremely productive in college, though his abysmal 3-cone and shuttle times at his pro day are certainly something that’ll push him down draft boards:Ferguson clearly lacks the necessary athleticism that most starters in the NFL have, though his production ultimately states otherwise. Ferguson was mocked in the first or second-round of mock drafts generally all offseason, though it seems most have soured since as Ferguson is no longer a regular in the first-round of mocks.Being a Senior, Ferguson attended the Reese’s Senior Bowl, automatically qualifying him as a prime prospect for General Manger Les Snead.NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein compared Ferguson to 2018 first-round pick Marcus Davenport, whom the New Orleans Saints traded up to draft. The previous time the Rams played in a Super Bowl, the opponent was New England. It didn’t work out so well for the then-St. Louis team. The Patriots, of course, have made a habit of being in the NFL championship game — this is their eighth since that 2002 victory over the Greatest Show On Turf. Here’s how they’ll match up in Atlanta:WHEN NEW ENGLAND HAS THE BALLThanks to a dominating line led by LT Trent Brown (77), C David Andrews (60) and RG Shaq Mason (69), Tom Brady (12) barely was touched and never was sacked by Kansas City in the AFC title game. And the Chiefs led the league in sacks. If that group can be just as stout against All-Pro DT Aaron Donald Aaron Donald Jersey , the only unanimous choice for the squad, Ndamukong Suh (93) and Michael Brockers (90), Brady could have another one of his MVP performances. However, the secondary he’ll face this time is far superior to what the Chiefs put on the field, particularly with cornerbacks Aqib Talib (21) and Marcus Peters (22) — and backup Nickell Robey-Coleman (23), he of the now-infamous helmet-hit pass interference non-call against the Saints. Those two must be aggressive at the line of scrimmage against WRs Julian Edelman (11) and Chris Hogan (15), who were so open on some routes against Kansas City it looked like a passing drill. The other intriguing matchup here is TE Rob Gronkowski (87) against safeties Lamarcus Joyner (20) and John Johnson III (43), who are physical enough to deal with Gronk, but it’s a wearying and thankless task. And there’s this for LA to deal with: Rookie Sony Michel (26) has become a ground force with his power and instincts. Fellow RB James White (28) is one of the best receivers out of the backfield in the league, and third-stringer Rex Burkhead (34) scored twice, including the winning TD for the AFC crown.Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips will challenge Brady with his schemes, but LA must disrupt the QB’s timing and comfort zone. Brady’s O-line has to prevent that.WHEN LOS ANGELES HAS THE BALLMichel’s former teammate at Georgia, All-Pro RB Todd Gurley (30), has been battling knee issues. While late-season pickup C.J. Anderson (35) has been masterful C.J. Anderson Jersey , the Rams need a healthy and productive Gurley for the Super Bowl. At least he’s had extra time to heal.Gurley led the NFL with 21 TDs and ranked fourth with 1,831 yards from scrimmage. He’d be a handful as a receiver for Patriots LBs Dont’a Hightower (54) and Kyle Van Noy (53), who comes off a superb outing in Kansas City. So one of the DBs, perhaps safeties Devin McCourty (32) or Patrick Chung (23), could get some assignments. The Rams want to have balance on offense, and they certainly have the options in the passing game with Jared Goff (16) throwing to WRs Robert Woods (17), Brandin Cooks (12) and rapidly developing Josh Reynolds (83). Cooks will be eager for a big game after the Patriots dealt him to LA last offseason. He’ll likely see plenty of All-Pro CB Stephon Gilmore, who struggled a bit in KC.New England managed four sacks of Patrick Mahomes and the Rams can’t be that generous if they expect to carry off the Lombardi Trophy. Steady linemen LT Andrew Whitworth (77), LG Rodger Saffold (76) and RT Rob Havenstein (79) must hold their own against DE Trey Flowers (98), Van Noy and the guys on the interior for New England.Goff vs. Brady would seem a mismatch. But Goff and his team beat Drew Brees for the NFC title.SPECIAL TEAMSWhat more can Greg The Leg do? Well, LA placekicker Greg Zuerlein (4) could follow his clutch work in the Big Easy with a Super Bowl-winning boot.Rams P Johnny Hekker (6) converted a fake punt for a first down at New Orleans and has one of the most powerful legs in the league. The Rams aren’t exceptional on returns, but they aren’t inept, either. JoJo Natson (19) has handled most of the punt runbacks, while Blake Countess (24) is the kick returner. The Patriots are more likely to break something in the return game with Cordarrelle Patterson (84) on kickoffs. New England features the usually reliable Edelman on punts Samson Ebukam Jersey , although he did — or didn’t — fumble one against the Chiefs.Stephen Gostkowski (3) has made more pressure attempts than nearly any current NFL placekicker this side of record-setter Adam Vinatieri, and Ryan Allen (6) does a solid job punting.COACHINGSeeing how the Patriots dominated the Chiefs early on both sides of the ball, OC Josh McDaniels and unofficial DC Brian Flores had a superb game plan. But KC began moving the ball almost at will in the second half, and the Rams are capable of the same. That makes for a key question: Can LA slow down the precision passing and powerful/slashing running of Michel?LA coach Sean McVay is the hot commodity on the pro football market. Every team looking for a new head coach has at least investigated people who’ve worked with McVay, who just turned 33. He’s innovative, aggressive and, in some ways, one of the guys, something New England’s Bill Belichick most definitely isn’t.INTANGIBLESThe Patriots are so experienced in this environment. Nothing that happens in Atlanta during Super Bowl week is likely to bother them. Same thing probably will apply when they get on the Mercedes-Benz Stadium field.Brady, 41, will be the oldest starting QB in Super Bowl history. A sixth title would tie the Patriots with the Steelers for most in the Super Bowl era.The Rams could energize the Los Angeles area about the NFL with a championship just three seasons into their return to Hollywood. They won the Super Bowl once, but representing St. Louis in the 2000 game.

No new posts Von Miller concurs with his coaches that he
needs to make more plays Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys 2019 , not that he needs to play more. The Broncos (2-2) haven't had a takeaway since the season opener, and the fulcrum of Denver's defense said the solution is simple: "I've got to get some sacks."Miller said if he can get to the quarterback like he did in the opener, when he dumped Russell Wilson three times, he can either force a fumble or a bad throw."I've got to play better. I've got to do better," Miller said. "... We've got some big-time games coming up and I've got to be big in those."Miller, who leads the Broncos into the Meadowlands to face the Jets (1-3) on Sunday, has seen his playing time dip by about 10 percent this season. He's missed more than a quarter of Denver's defensive snaps as his coaches aim to rotate Miller and rookie Bradley Chubb, the fifth overall pick in the 2018 draft, with Shaq Barrett and former first-round pick Shane Ray."If you want me to, I can play the whole game," cracked Miller, who has only done that twice in his eight-year career, against Cincinnati last season and at New Orleans the year before."I mean, it's just different this year . It's not me and DeMarcus (Ware) and the no-game guys behind us anymore," Miller said. "It's not like that. We've got big-time players between me, Chubb, Shaq and Shane."It's just tough. You have to find ways to get Shaq and Shane in there. I have to find ways to get on the field during crunch time and in the clutch, which I am in there Khalen Saunders black jersey , usually."Miller said this formula will keep all four pass rushers fresh and fit for the long haul."We just have a special situation here. We've got four great pass rushers and it would be a total injustice to have Shaq and Shane on the bench," Miller said.Miller has played 74.2 percent of the snaps this season. That's a significant drop from the 84.2 percent clip he's played over his previous six seasons (not counting the games he missed in 2013), and at that rate, would work out to the lowest percentage of his career. It wouldn't be too far from the 76.2 percent of snaps Miller played in 2015 when he led the Broncos to a Super Bowl win, however. That year, he was at his best in the playoffs, pulverizing Tom Brady in the AFC championship and Cam Newton in the Super Bowl.Miller's highest percentage of plays came in 2013 after he returned from a six-game suspension to start the season and logged 92.6 percent of the snaps before a knee injury sidelined him and forced him to miss that year's Super Bowl.Miller's heavy workload and weight gain that year may have contributed to his injury, and both his physique and playing time have slimmed down since. He's averaged 880 snaps a year since his knee injury in 2013 after logging a career-high 962 snaps the year before he got hurt. He's on pace for 808 snaps this season.Statistically speaking, Miller has been quiet since racking up four sacks in the first two weeks of the season."It's a tough league and the sacks, they definitely come in bunches," Miller said. "I mean, I started the season off with three sacks and I'm like, 'Man, I'm going to get 45 sacks this season. It's going to be easy. And next game, I get two sacks and get one taken away and I'm like, 'Man, that would have been five sacks in two games."He's been held without a sack the last two weeks, both losses Khalen Saunders Jersey Mens , including a 27-23 heartbreaker against Kansas City on Monday night in which Miller had just one tackle and couldn't bring down Patrick Mahomes, who switched the football to his left hand , then shot-putted it to Tyreek Hill with Miller dragging him down for a key first down on the Chiefs' game-winning drive .This week, Broncos coach Vance Joseph called out his coaching staff and his star players 鈥?although not by name 鈥?to do better after Denver cratered in crunch time against Kansas City."There weren't enough sacks on the quarterback," Joseph said. "We made maybe two plays on the ball the entire night. We need more. We need more from our main guys on both sides of the ball."When those comments were relayed to him, Miller showed he's not overly stressed about his sack slowdown."I mean, in my heart I feel like, you know, my mom always told me since I was a little boy that I was her star," Miller said. "And I just try to go out there and be the best player I possibly can be." The Chiefs see the seventh-rounder as a potential starter."Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is working the team’s 2019 seventh-round pick, interior offensive lineman Nick Allegretti, at center during rookie minicamp.Allegretti, 23, stands at 6 feet 4 and 320 pounds, and as Reid described Saturday, is “dirty tough.”“I love playing football,” Allegretti said when asked about Reid’s compliment. “I think there is a way you’re supposed to play football, a way you’re supposed to play O-line—physical. You want to put people on the ground Khalen Saunders Jersey nfl draft , and that’s just how I was coached, how I was brought up, so I think that’s what he sees and that’s what he’ll continue to see.”After being picked by the Chiefs, Allegretti explained that he is a “different guy” in that he likes things like puzzles and Rubik’s cubes and is a coin collector. Allegretti said he did a puzzle in an attempt to distract himself on day three of the NFL Draft, and Reid mentioned Allegretti scored high on the pre-draft Wonderlic test.He comes off as mild-mannered and friendly, but that changes as soon as he steps on the football field.“My biggest thing—my coach actually at Illinois, Luke Butkus, taught me is that the guy across from you, especially in this league is trying to take your job,” Allegretti said. “[He’s] trying to take my dream away from me, what I’ve worked for my whole life, so just kind of take that as an insult and use that as energy.”Chiefs general manager Brett Veach has said that he believes Allegretti will compete for a starting spot on the offensive line.“He had a chance to go to the East-West (Shrine) game and he actually played guard and center there,” Veach said. “His center tape was really what kind of caught our eye. You guys know how we feel about guys who have versatility. This is a guy that played guard in the Big Ten, did a really good job. Goes to the East-West game, plays guard, plays a little center and then all of the sudden you watch the East-West game and watch him log game snaps at center, and he looked really good at doing that.”“I was always our backup center,” Allegretti Eric Murray Jersey , who started 20 games at guard over his last two years at Illinois, said. “Played six or seven games (at center) in college and then was the number two (center) all four years.”With Mitch Morse leaving in free agency for the Buffalo Bills, the center position battle is one to watch this offseason and training camp. It’s worth noting Morse started 15 games at center for the Chiefs as a rookie.Fourth-year offensive lineman Austin Reiter, who started four games at center for the Chiefs last year when Morse was out, will get first consideration, but Allegretti and Jimmy Murray should provide real competition.Chiefs area scout Terry Delp explained after the draft that a transition to center requires athletic ability, strong mental makeup, leadership skills and confidence. In Delp’s mind, Allegretti checked all the boxes.“His intelligence, he’s a natural leader, he’s a leader of the O-line room, the guys gravitate toward him, so there’s no question there,” Delp said of Allegretti. “It was easy for me because you get to see him do it.”

So, that’s what we’re going to do here.Personally Stefon Diggs Jersey , I love it. The Vikings got the best center in this draft class, and it likely means that Pat Elflein is going to be shifted over to occupy the left guard spot. Elflein played guard in college before moving over to center, so it’s a position that he’s familiar with. I also like that idea a whole lot more than the thought of moving Riley Reiff inside from the tackle spot.A center isn’t necessarily the sexiest pick out there in terms of “wow” value or anything, but given the Vikings’ needs going into today’s draft Harrison Smith Jersey , the board couldn’t have fallen much better for them than it did. What do you think about the selection of Garrett Bradbury, Vikings fans? Monday night’s loss was the last straw for Vikings offensive coordinator John DeFilippo. The Vikings announced Tuesday morning that DeFilippo has been fired and Kevin Stefanski will take the reins of the offense for the rest of the season.“The Minnesota Vikings have relieved John DeFilippo from his duties as Offensive Coordinator,” the team’s statement said. “Vikings Quarterbacks Coach Kevin Stefanski has been elevated to Interim Offensive Coordinator and will take over play-calling duties.”It’s been a long and frustrating season for the Vikings’ offense, which came into the season thinking the arrival of Kirk Cousins would result in an improvement over last season’s results Adam Thielen Jersey , only to see the offense go in the wrong direction this year.Last season’s offense was called by Pat Shurmur, who is now the head coach of the Giants. Shurmur wanted to hire Stefanski as his offensive coordinator, but Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer blocked the move and held Stefanski to his contract in Minnesota.Whether Stefanski can get things turned around over the final weeks of the season remains to be seen, but if the Vikings win their last three games they’re in the playoffs Kirk Cousins Jersey , and if Stefanski can get the offense rolling in January, he’ll suddenly be one of the hottest assistant coaches in the NFL.

Questions among the linebacker group were ubiquitous leading into the 2018 Miami Dolphins training camp, as Raekwon McMillan had missed his rookie season to an ACL injury, and Kiko Alonso had a rough year transitioning to outside linebacker in 2017, especially in pass coverage. The Dolphins selected Jerome Baker in the 3rd round of the 2018 NFL Draft: 6’1”, 229. A nickel linebacker at best, right? At least he’d theoretically help against tight ends and running backs, everybody is running 11 personnel, it’s a passing league, yada yada yada, or so went the collective group-think.By season’s end Jason Taylor Jersey , Jerome Baker garnered 679 snaps, and one can argue emerged as the most talented linebacker on the Dolphins roster, doing some of the very things that were predicted. The installation of Brian Flores’ defense leans towards a true hybrid defense, not just empty effervescence that’s typically said during the off-season — I know you’ve heard the tales about how versatile and attacking defensive coordinators schemes will be.2018 New England Patriots defense by personnel grouping The Patriots had six different starting personnel groupings, listed in order of frequency:3 DL-3 LB-5 SEC (7 occurrences)4 DL-3 LB-4 SEC (3)4 DL-2 LB-5 SEC (3)5 DL-2 LB-4 SEC (1)3 DL-2 LB-6 SEC (1)3 DL-4 LB-4 SEC (1) Although not a conglomerate of every snap, you can see that the Patriots didn’t start four linebackers except one game (in their Week 3 contest). Jerome Baker had 679 snaps, ranking 3rd on the Dolphins LB unit — the Patriots’ 3rd linebacker received 225 fewer snaps. Kiko Alonso, the Dolphins leading LB snap-getter, may be on the way out. According to spotrac.com, the Dolphins can move on with a $4.7M net cap differential (8.2M in salary comes off the books, but $3.5 in dead money would be added). I predict that Jerome Baker becomes the leading snap-getter in 2019, and he might be asked to add 10 pounds as he might have to play in more “inside” situations and deal with an increase in block-shedding situations. Jerod Mayo, who played at 6’1” http://www.thedolphinslockerroom.com/authentic-matt-haack-jersey , 230 pounds at the University of Tennessee, spent his first two seasons at outside linebacker before moving to inside linebacker his junior year. He plumped up to 237 by the NFL Combine, and hovered in the 240-250 pound range during his playing career as the inside linebacker for the New England Patriots. Short yardage situation close to the red zone, this is effectively a 4-4 look vs. 22 personnel (2 RB’s, 2 TE’s). Baker is a “3 stack backer” in this play, or in other words, he’s stacked with the 3-technique of the DL (the guy lined up between the right guard and right tackle). He wouldn’t normally have a 4th DL in front of him in a base scenario, but this is about where an ILB would be playing depth-wise in a 3-4 look. The sideline-to-sideline burst is apparent, the concern will be in those situations where he’s fighting off offensive linemen and expected to make plays post-grapple. I anticipate more 3 DL looks under Brian Flores, and as a result, Jerome Baker will prove his mettle by navigating through traffic and being able to disengage from blockers. The Oakland Raiders run strong side here (and the Raiders left tackle possibly gets away with a holding call on Robert Quinn) with a fullback and Jared Cook in the slot. Rodney Hudson is designed to get up to the 2nd level and cut the WILL off. Baker keeps light feet, side steps Hudson (one of the better centers in the NFL) and brings down Marshawn Lynch. I feel comfortable with Baker combing through traffic east-and-west.Baker played this poorly in my opinion, he had inside help and gave up outside leverage. Collapsing inside earlier could have allowed him to disengage and get back outside Womens Laremy Tunsil Jersey , or simply continuing his angle outside would’ve forced the ball carrier inside to Cameron Wake (or TJ McDonald if he somehow took a slippery wide angle to avoid Wake). Jared Cook doesn’t get much of a block on him either, so it’s disappointing Baker didn’t have more of an impact on this play. North-south collisions were a mixed bag for Jerome Baker in 2018 as is, but it’s plays like these that make me nervous where he needs to take on a block (this time in a jet sweep situation), create separation, and track down the ball carrier. I think Jerome Baker can add weight without sacrificing his athleticism a la Jerod Mayo. Baker will still have a premium in passing situations regardless. With the possibility of adding another 300 snaps to his plate and the defensive scheme installation on the horizon, Jerome Baker will be asked to be our most versatile linebacker, our most trusted linebacker. It’ll depend on growing from a supremely important niche role to a “jack of all trades”, including playing inside. Do you think this characterization is accurate, and do you think Baker is up to the task? Let me know down in the Comments Section!

Our review of third-round defensive tackle Khalen Saunders is located here. Finally, find our review of sixth-round cornerback Rashad Fenton here.Team fit is paramount when evaluating draft results. It’s not everything, but being dropped in a situation that matches your skill set and ensures you are appropriately utilized goes a long way in allowing a player to sustain his career.I may not like wide receiver and second-round pick Mecole Hardman as a top-50 player in this class, but I certainly see a path to success, illuminated by the play calling of Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. Hardman has been dropped into a perfect situation with a brilliant offensive mind who knows how to develop players with similar traits to him and a quarterback with the capability to get him the ball all over the field. The Chiefs are equipped to get the most of out the Georgia wide receiver. Utah State RB Darwin Thompson5’8” | 200 lbs.The same can be said about Chiefs sixth-round pick Darwin Thompson, who has been placed into the perfect situation for his skill set. His tape is littered with lateral agility, balance, ability after the catch and more. What sticks out first is Thompson short stature—he uses it to his advantage. Some guys are small and it hinders their projection. I think it helps Thompson. He has a naturally low center of gravity Tyreek Hill Jersey , is well built and is tough to bring down with arm tackles in space. Here, he displays strong balance while running upfield to not go down on initial contact. Second and third-level defenders are going to have be sure with their technique to bring Thompson down.Thompson has some of the best tape of the entire class. He’s an explosive, agile, quick, fearless player with only one year of Division I football under his belt.On this play, Thompson exploded off his plant foot and made a smart hurdle in space near the goal line. The decision this close to the goal line was smart. This play set his team up inside the 5-yard line. It was also the third time he hurdled a defender in this game, and all worked and were right decisions. Most of Thompson’s success will likely come away from the box, but he didn’t need much space in college to make things happen. If you’re running between the tackles at the next level, you’re not going to have much space to operate. Thompson has shown that he can play to his stature inside and find space. I anticipate the majority of his touches aren’t going to occur between the tackles. You want him working outside. Thompson bounced this play outside, showed good agility http://www.chiefslockerroom.com/authentic-demetrius-harris-jersey , made an explosive cut upfield and a broke a few arm tackles by longer, more prominent defenders on his way to finishing the play in the end zone. He does a good job of keeping his legs moving. When you combine that with the low center of gravity and the explosive power in his legs packed in such a small frame, there should be belief the Chiefs will be able to get value out of this late day-three selection. The big question for Thompson will be how his contact balance will translate against bigger defenders in tighter spaces. He does a good job of reducing surface area and avoiding big hits. His ability to maintain that balance at the next level will determine his success. As long as he minimizes his strike zone and gets opportunities in space, he could be a dynamic piece to a running back committee. You don’t see Thompson take on many big hits when watching his film. He keeps himself cleaner than other backs in this class. I prefer to see Thompson do his work outside the hashes on plays like the one above and this one. This is one of my favorite plays watching him. Thompson is a very sudden athlete with cuts and explosiveness. He makes the first defender miss but puts his balance and agility to work immediately after the cut to avoid a second defender while staying on his feet to get to the end zone. The movements after he avoids that first defender show so much twitch from his compact frame. Thompson makes this play look easy, but the combination of twitch and balance isn’t common in this class. Many other running backs don’t finish this play how he did.Thompson will scare defenses in space. Reid and Mahomes afford him opportunities to flash his skill set in space. The last two plays show a functional ability as a pass catcher that should help his utilization as well. It’s a match made in heaven. The bottom lineThe Chiefs diversified their running back room with a small, elusive, twitched up and dynamic offensive weapon. It’s against the norm of what they typically covet, but I love that they did it. The Chiefs need to continue to amass a variety of player types that Reid and Mahomes can use to their advantage, especially with the looming issues with Tyreek Hill and his availability moving forward.Thompson can be utilized in a variety of ways for the Chiefs. He has more-than-capable hands and is a dynamic weapon in space. He made more people miss than anyone in college football last year and has balance to sustain plays through contact. There is a special athletic ability for a player his size, power Womens Armani Watts Jersey , explosiveness and pass catcher traits. What’s more is he’s raw and still developing. Thompson doesn’t have the best vision in the class and he’ll likely be reduced to a smaller workload, but he’s an excellent, explosive and dynamic piece to a committee that can get five to 10 touches a game. The Chiefs are well positioned to get the most out of Thompson’s skill set. It’s not difficult to see him becoming a fan favorite. In Thompson, the Chiefs have a chess piece that could be excellent value from day three of the draft. I anticipate he carves out a role for the 2019 season. PHILADELPHIA (2-3) at N.Y. Each week, we send 32 polls to 100+ plugged in fans from each team. Dolphins fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse. The Miami Dolphins are coming off a win over the Tennessee Titans and preparing for a Week 2 contest against the New York Jets. With a win, the Dolphins could get out to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2013. The Dolphins are also looking to show that the 2017 season was an aberration from their new norm of being a winning football team under head coach Adam Gase. How confident are Dolphins fans in the team being able to return to winning ways, proving they are headed in the right direction? This week’s FanPulse survey helps us find out.How confident are you in the direction of the team? Last week: 80 percent confidenceThe confidence in the Dolphins’ direction appears to have gone down in this week’s poll, as compared to last week’s 80 percent, but the questions also shifted a little. Last week, there were five options, with a “Somewhat” option for both the Confident and Not Confident answers. That made the “Meh” option just 14 percent. Now we see the Meh jump to 27 percent, while the confidence falls to 71 percent. The same can be said of the Not Confidence, where last week it was 7 percent in the combined “Not Very Confident” and “Not At All Confident” categories, but now it is just two percent, with more moving in the Meh category. With a win against the Jets this week, that confidence in the Dolphins should start to climb again. Will we see that win? It looks like Dolphins fans believe we will. Will the Dolphins win or lose in Week 2?Odds: Jets are 2.5-point favoritesGang Green Nation FanPulse: Jets by 5The Phinsider FanPulse: Dolphins by 8It probably should not be a surprise that the predictions for this game broke along team allegiance lines. It could be a little surprising that the Jets fans only think they will win by five, given the demolition of the Detroit Lions we saw from the Jets on Monday Night Football. I predicted the Dolphins by six Jason Taylor Jersey , so there are many Dolphins fans who seem more optimistic than I am right now. I am sure there are plenty that are not seeing even my six-point victory. Sunday needs to hurry up and get here so we can see what actually happens.Other than QB, what is most valuable to an NFL offense? Across all of the SB Nation team sites, this question was asked, with left tackle dominating the answers. Skill positions get all the love, but without a strong left tackle, it is hard to find success. The Dolphins are still dealing with some growing pains from Laremy Tunsil, who is becoming a solid left tackle, but he has not yet reached the potential he has. Coming out of college, he was seen as a Pro Bowl level left tackle, and, after spending his rookie season at left guard, he struggled at times last year, his first season back at left tackle. He has to pick up his play this year to become the dominant player the Dolphins want at the position. Miami grabbed a stud defensive lineman in round one, in Clemson’s Christian Wilkins and traded for one Joshua Ballinger Lippincott Rosen, he of the Arizona Cardinals a season ago. For those of you who were disappointed that Miami didn’t trade down from thirteen, which they reportedly nearly did, with Philadelphia, there’s no use crying over spilt Wilk. To those of you who think we gave up too much for ‘Rosehead’, you didn’t really think we were going to get him for nothing, did you? I thought Grier did a masterful job of trading down before giving Arizona the third to last pick in round two for Rosen. That’s the good news. Now, I have some even better news for you, although it may well be construed as my being negative. The Dolphins are still going to lose twelve games this year, and that’s a very good thing. I keep being told that quarterback is the most important position on the field for any NFL team, yet now that we have a real chance to get one of the top two picks in the purportedly QB rich 2020 draft, we’re trying to debate our way to six to eight wins this season? You’re kidding, right? We’re attempting to debate and philosophize our way to six or more wins in two different ways Womens Laremy Tunsil Jersey , which I want to discuss here. First, we’re placing too much emphasis on Miami’s present quarterback situation; if Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen represent a substantial upgrade from the Ryan Tannehill/Brock Osweiler platoon from a year ago, the Dolphins will win more games, right? Not necessarily. For one thing, we only have 3/5 of a starting NFL caliber offensive line, and that situation doesn’t figure to get appreciably better as the year progresses. The Dolphins won’t be able to run or throw if their linemen can’t block anybody. Then there is the free agency and trade ravaged defense, which, outside of a stud rookie and some great players in the secondary, still won’t be able to stop anybody. The Dolphins are going to get time of possessioned to death this year, and the defense will be sucking wind mightily by halftime of every game. The other assumption that we’re making, and this is a problem for us year in and year out, is that coaching is going to give us the needed advantage we need to notch those extra wins. Let me put this as bluntly as I can: the single biggest reason for the Dolphins’ middle-of-the-pack performance over the two decades since Dan Marino and Jimmy Johnson left the team is not having enough good players, period. It can’t just be coaching, because all NFL teams run the same plays, and they employ essentially the same coaches; when a head coach inevitably gets fired Mike Gesicki Jersey , his staff is generally shown the door along with him, and shortly thereafter, every guy on his staff is working for another team. Blaming coaching for the performance of bad players is, in my opinion, a monumental cop out. Sort of like blaming the offensive line, before they let their starting left guard and right tackle walk, for bad quarterback play. Make no mistake -- the single most important ingredient of this full on rebuild is a huge pile of losses this season. A huge pile, as in, twelve. That’s the magic number I’m going to point to as the requisite number of losses needed to get the first or second overall pick next April. Why? So we can finally acquire that elusive franchise quarterback everyone keeps saying (and I believe you) we have to have. In the overall scheme of things, Josh Rosen changes absolutely nothing. We have a cheap QB with potentially high upside, to compete for playing time, but he’s not going to make the Dolphins front office go another direction other than quarterback with their first round pick next year. I was pretty much neutral on the team acquiring him; I wasn’t praying nightly for his arrival but I also wasn’t upset that they got him, especially for as little compensation as they gave up. I really could see the Cardinals hanging on to Rosen. After all, they have a history of using players at multiple positions; they drafted quarterback/punter Tom Tupa in 1988, and with that impressive proboscis Rosen has http://www.thedolphinslockerroom.com/authentic-kenyan-drake-jersey , all he would have had to do in Phoenix was paint his nose yellow and he could double as the team’s mascot during the TV timeouts. Hey, having a big nose doesn’t mean you can’t play football; Namath had an oversized schnozz, and he did alright. So here we are; we’ve got a guy who should be a game changing defensive lineman, another guy, via trade who should give us some insurance in case Fitzpatrick gets injured or plays poorly, and no other draft choices among the top 75 picks. Let’s keep our collective eye on what’s really important here: lots and lots of losses this upcoming season. All that separates us from being able to walk up to the podium next April with a card bearing the name of our next great quarterback is twelve losses in our sixteen game schedule this year. For once, let’s not try to debate, hope, wish or cajole our way out of that. That’s the wrap for today, have a great week, everybody.

But in LA, there was going to need to be a generational effort to build the next wave of Rams fans. Having lived without NFL football for 24 years, most NFL-interested Angelenos had already assigned their affiliations. They were never likely to then shun those affiliations just because the Rams showed up.Instead http://www.theramslockerroom.com/authentic-jamon-brown-jersey , the Rams’ best efforts at expanding their fan base (and thus their business interests) beyond putting together a winning product was going to come about by capturing new fans. Young fans. Future fans. That’s become tougher in the last few weeks.Los Angeles has become the center of the focus of free agency in the NBA as the Los Angeles Lakers completed a trade for PF/C Anthony Davis while leaving enough money to pursue a top-tier free agent followed by last night’s news that the Los Angeles Clippers had won the sweepstakes for SF Kawhi Leonard. The bottom line is that there are only so many hours in the day. So many pages in the Los Angeles Times. So many minutes in a drivetime radio show. Forget national sports media that always has to make tough decisions about what to cram into their programming. It’s going to be increasingly difficult for LA media to make those same decisions. The Los Angeles Dodgers have the best record in baseball. The Los Angeles Angels are having their best season four years in their first season with a new manager renewing optimism for the future (sound familiar?). The Rams are coming off of a season that culminated in an appearance in Super Bowl LIII. The Lakers just added one of the best big men in the sport to help LeBron James. The Clippers just added the most dynamic player in the NBA who single-handedly powered his team to a championship and paired him with Paul George. USC is USCing while UCLA is UCLAing. Should either of them turn things around, it gets even more glutted. Throw in hockey and soccer and all the other sports in town and you get a sense of just how hard it is going to be for the Rams to gain a stronger foothold.Let’s not mangle the timeline. Once football is being played and especially once baseball (read: the Dodgers’ season) ends, the Rams are likely to be afforded A1 space. But in terms of the larger LA sports landscape, there’s just sooooooooooooooooooo much.Consider others markets. Remember that study that recently ranked the Rams’ fan base/brand last in the NFL? Look at who came in first in the Dallas Cowboys and their market competition. The Texas Rangers are a surprise in staying above .500. The Dallas Mavericks haven’t made the playoffs for three seasons. And the Dallas Stars just made the playoffs for the third time in the last 11 years. Think of how much easier it is for the Cowboys to saturate local sports media than it is for the Rams. Or look at smaller NFL markets like New Orleans, Jacksonville, Nashville or Buffalo where there’s significantly less competition. It’s easier for NFL teams to get coverage above the fold there because there’s less local sports competing with them. And consider the site of Los Angeles as a target for major sports events. The 2020 MLB All-Star Game will be at Dodger Stadium for the first time in 40 years. The Rose Bowl is set to host a College Football Playoff semifinal in 2021 and 2024 while the championship will be held at the Rams’ future home in 2023. Before that though comes Super Bowl LVI at LASED in 2022. For the first time since the Riviera Country Club hosted it in 1948, the PGA U.S. Open is coming back to LA in 2023 at the Los Angeles Country Club. In 2026, the Rose Bowl will be one of the sites of the 2026 World Cup. The world’s eyes will be trained even moreso on LA two years later when the 2028 Summer Olympics are held in town. The Rams are doing what they need to do on the field. The local and non-local fan base is all but certain to grow as long as they continue to win. But there is just so...much...sports in LA and beyond that Womens Greg Zuerlein Jersey , good sports. Good players. No new posts Eric Berry could practice this week Ed
REPORT:itor’s note: An earlier version of this post said that Eric Berry will practice this week. It has been corrected to could. We have been keeping you posted—as of Monday http://www.chiefslockerroom.com/authentic-terrance-smith-jersey , it has been 37 days since Kansas City Chiefs safety has taken a practice or game field. That streak could reportedly be coming to an end, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.Berry has been sidelined since August 11 with a sore heel. He missed the Chiefs’ entire preseason and the team’s first two regular-season games with the injury. Here was a head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder on Berry 12 days ago:“I know there has been a lot of questions about Eric Berry,” Burkholder said. “I know coach (Andy Reid) has said that it’s day to day. It is literally day to day. He won’t practice [Wednesday], but he’s spent a lot of time with us. He’s improving, he’s getting better every day and so we’ll continue with that process.”The Chiefs have been consistent in saying Berry has been improving since then Womens Travis Kelce Jersey , but he had yet to practice. We should find out more with Chiefs head coach Andy Reid scheduled to speak at Noon Arrowhead Time.Should the Chiefs try to bring back Marcus Cooper? ESPN’s Bill Barnwell released an article Thursday outlining 11 sensible midseason NFL trade ideas, and why they make sense. You can read the full piece here. When it came to the Kansas City Chiefs, Barnwell suggested they trade with the Chicago Bears (Hey, Matt Nagy) for cornerback Marcus Cooper, sending a seventh-round pick to bring the ex-Chief back. Cooper was a member of the tandem Chiefs play-by-play announcer Mitch Holthus famously called “The Magnificent Seven” back in 2013 De'Anthony Thomas Jersey , when John Dorsey and the Chiefs had the top waiver spot on waiver wire weekend. As it turns out, the only player member of the seven left on the Chiefs right now is Ron Parker, and he had to leave and come back. I digress.Cooper played really well for the Chiefs his rookie season, when he recorded three interceptions and 21 passes defensed. But as the Chiefs acquired more talented cornerbacks, his role was gradually phased out. Cooper was eventually traded to the Arizona Cardinals. Fast-forward to now. The Chiefs current cornerbacks are Kendall Fuller http://www.chiefslockerroom.com/authentic-eric-murray-jersey , Steve Nelson, Orlando Scandrick, Charvarius Ward, Tremon Smith and cornerback-safety hybrid Josh Shaw.Where would Cooper fit? I think an argument could be made he’d be fourth on this list and could potentially battle Scandrick for the third spot. Plus, since the Chiefs were supposedly moving money around to bring Earl Thomas Womens Dustin Colquitt Jersey , who came with an $8.5 million cap hit, the Chiefs could surely manage Cooper’s. If the Bears agreed to Barnwell’s terms—a seventh—I wouldn’t hate it.Would you?

No new posts The smart money is to take Tom Brady
and the Patriots now."I expected the line to be six or seven points but was pleasantly surprised it is only two and a half points in favor of the Patriots. I’m through betting against Tom Brady and the Patriots. Yes I know they lost the Super Bowl to the Eagles last year. But they won the year before. My hope is that if Brady wins a fifth sixth Super Bowl ring he will finally retire. He’s 42 years old for heaven’s sake Stitched Cameron Artis-Payne Jersey , what more does he really need to accomplish? He’s now on his ninth Super Bowl in eighteen seasons. Even I am begrudgingly willing to call him the GOAT quarterback if it will get him to retire. Here’s the full line from Top Bet:Regarding the over/under of 58 points scored, I think the over is again the way to go with two high scoring offenses on the field. The Rams offense can put up 30 points on the Patriots no problem Youth Fozzy Whittaker Jersey , and still lose of course. So I like the Patriots to cover the two and half points with a three point win somewhere in the neighborhood of 34-31, something like that. Get those bets in now because I see this spread increasing as we get closer to the game. There are times when it doesn’t take a lot of words to describe what happened in a football game and Thursday night was one of those times for the Panthers. They started the game with a brisk touchdown drive Stitched Fozzy Whittaker Jersey , but gave up two touchdowns in 13 seconds in the first quarter and trailed the Steelers 24-7 early in the second quarter as things went the other way in a hurry. They would wind up losing 52-21 and Panthers quarterback Cam Newton summed it up by saying his team “got whooped.”Newton also said it was important to focus on what comes next rather than dwell on that whooping for too long.“I’ve been playing in this league long enough to understand that you need to fight through games like this,” Newton said Youth Daryl Williams Jersey , via the team’s website. “You are going to have these types of games in the league, but it’s going to be about how we rebound. We’ll bounce back from this.”At 6-3 Stitched Daryl Williams Jersey , the Panthers have plenty of possibilities ahead of them if they can rebound from Thursday night’s thumping but it will be more than a week before we find out if they’re able to pull that off.

No new posts Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta en
OWINGS MILLS Youth Brent Urban Jersey , Md. (AP) — tered his first NFL draft with a long list of needs, eight picks and the pressure of measuring up to a man who traditionally flourished during this three-day event. It’s too early to determine if DeCosta will fare as well as Ozzie Newsome, who built two Super Bowl winners over a 23-year run. It will also take a while before DeCosta’s first draft can be legitimately assessed.Still, the 48-year-old rookie GM addressed each one of the team’s most notable voids — receiver, pass rusher and interior offensive lineman — with confidence while absorbing the advice of Newsome, coach John Harbaugh and college scouting director Joe Hortiz.“We got a lot accomplished,” DeCosta said late Saturday afternoon. “We added a lot of speed, we added some playmakers, we added some big guys. I think we helped our football team quite a bit.”The Ravens needed a receiver after losing John Brown and Michael Crabtree to free agency, so DeCosta picked Marquise Brown with the 25th overall selection and backed it up by taking Notre Dame wideout Miles Boykin in the third round. Two receivers in the top three picks may seem excessive, but the burly Boykin and the diminutive Brown add different elements to a passing game that must improve if Baltimore is to repeat as AFC North champions and make a deep playoff run.“The bottom line is, these are two really fast guys that make plays,” Harbaugh said. “And that’s what we were looking for.”Eager to fill the hole left by the departure of sack specialists Terrell Suggs and Za’Darius Smith through free agency, DeCosta drafted Louisiana Tech defensive end Jaylon Ferguson Stitched Nick Boyle Jersey , who happened to break Suggs’ FBS record with 45 career sacks. Ferguson could start in the season opener against Miami on Sept. 8.During the final day of the draft, the Ravens added speedy running back Justice Hill of Oklahoma State, 310-pound offensive guard Ben Powers of Oklahoma and Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley, the team’s final pick of the draft (at No. 197 overall).“Trace McSorley was kind of a sleeper pick for us,” DeCosta said. “We brought him in as a quarterback but he’s got the potential to do some other things, too. This is a great spot for him.”Lamar Jackson is the starter and Robert Griffin III is the backup, leaving little room for McSorley. That didn’t temper his delight of being selected in the sixth round.“Being in the NFL has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid,” McSorley said: “My goal is to come in and play the quarterback position. But I can do a lot of different things on the football field.”So can the seven other players that DeCosta drafted.“There were some things that we needed to build our team up,” Harbaugh said. “We got guys that fit us personality-wise, need-wise and talent-wise. I’m really happy with the way our roster looks now compared to three days ago.”Some other things to know about the Ravens’ 2019 draft:WHO THEY GOTAfter getting Brown on Thursday, DeCosta snagged Ferguson and Boykin in the third round Friday before taking five players Saturday. The flurry began with Hill and Powers, followed by Southern Cal cornerback Iman Lewis-Hill, all in the fourth round. Texas A&M defensive tackle Daylon Mack was taken in the fifth round, followed by McSorley.SURPRISE MOVEBaltimore really didn’t need a third quarterback Youth Nick Boyle Jersey , but McSorley was impressive in his workout at the team facility. “He’s our kind of guy,” Harbaugh said. “He’s gritty and tough, and that’s what we look for.”OKLAHOMA’S OKThe Ravens appear to be collecting players from Oklahoma. After drafting former Sooners Mark Andrews and Orlando Brown Jr. last year, the Ravens grabbed Brown and Powers from Oklahoma and added Hill out of Oklahoma State. “There are a whole bunch of Oklahoma players up there,” Powers said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun.”WHAT’S NEXT?DeCosta isn’t done yet. His to-do list includes getting a middle linebacker to replace the departed C.J. Mosley.“We’re just starting out this offseason,” he said before the draft. “As Ozzie used to say, ‘We don’t have to play games in April. We wait until September. I believe we’ll have a good, competitive, hard-nosed typical Ravens team on the field when we start.”He added: “We have a history of doing well in undrafted free agency.” After one season in Baltimore, the smoke show is heading north." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesHorizontal - WhiteBaltimore Beatdowna Baltimore Ravens communityLog In or Sign UpLog InSign UpPodcastFilm ReviewFanpostsFanshotsRavensAboutOddsCommunity GuidelinesStubHubMoreAll 322 blogs on Horizontal - WhitePodcast Film Review Fanposts Fanshots Ravens StoriesScheduleRosterStatsYahoo Ravens ReportYahoo Ravens Depth ChartYahoo Ravens TransactionsYahoo Ravens PhotosAbout Odds Community Guidelines StubHub ✕Filed under:NFL Free AgencyRavens WR John Brown to sign with the Buffalo Bills New,7commentsAfter one season in Baltimore, the smoke show is heading north.EDTShareTweetShareShareRavens WR John Brown to sign with the Buffalo Bills Denny Medley-USA TODAY SportsAfter seeing four defensive starters head elsewhere in the early portion of free agency, the Ravens will now be without their leading receiver from last season, John Brown Stitched Alex Lewis Jersey , whose agreed to sign with the Bills on a three-year contract. Brown is coming off a nice bounce-back year in which he caught 42 receptions for 715 yards and five touchdowns. However, essentially all of this production came in the first half of the season with Joe Flacco under center. In the first nine games of the season, Brown caught 34 passes for 604 yards and four touchdowns. He produced several highlight plays and impressive touchdown receptions. While his production fell off in the back half of the season, he still managed to finish as the team’s leading receiver. Brown’s vertical passing ability clearly didn’t mesh well with the playing style of Lamar Jackson and he recently said on Instagram that the Ravens didn’t approach him about returning to Baltimore, so this news shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. His performance last season earned himself a nice raise. Brown figures to immediately slot in as the Bills top wideout and should thrive as the go-to option for Josh Allen, whose best attribute, much like Flacco, is his arm strength. As has been the case the past few year, the Ravens wide receiver unit will once again have a much different look next season. With Michael Crabtree and John Brown out of the fold, the only returning contributors from last season are Willie Snead IV and Chris Moore. Jordan Lasley and Jaleel Scott are also on the roster but neither saw the field last year. Brown’s departure only increases the chances that the Ravens address the receiver position in the draft. It’s also possible that they could sign a free agent or two, although the market isn’t too rich at the position.

and going this year Rashad Fenton Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys , and the XFL coming (and maybe or maybe not going) next year, it’s been easy to forget that arena football is still a thing. But it is.The continuing existence of arena football was brought to our attention with the news that Dexter McCluster, a former Pro Bowl return man, has signed with the Massachusetts Pirates of the National Arena League.“I’m here to learn as fast as possible, get to know my teammates and my new brothers and get in where I fit in. I’m going to work hard, I’m going to push and motivate myself as well as others and we’ll see where the chips fall,” McCluster said in a statement released by the team.Although arena football has declined in popularity, there are still multiple arena leagues in business. They don’t pay full-time salaries Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys Stitched , but McCluster, who made more than $12 million in his NFL career, just wants to play. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs will have 10 days to stew over Mike Williams’ touchdown catch, Philip Rivers‘ wave as he trotted off the field and the golden opportunity they let slip away Thursday night. They had led the Los Angeles Chargers nearly wire-to-wire, taking an early 14-0 lead and looking every bit the dominant team in the AFC West. And they still led into the fourth quarter, victory seemingly certain along with all the trappings that would come with it — clinching the division with two games to go, a first-round playoff bye and perhaps homefield advantage throughout with a little bit of help. Then their defense failed to make a couple of crucial stops. Their offense failed to pick up a first down when it mattered most. The Chargers made every play to escape with a 29-28 victory.“It’s tough. Mentally Rashad Fenton Jersey nfl draft , it’s very tough,” Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones said afterward. “We have to come back and bounce back. We have to prepare for Seattle at their place. Understand what you did wrong and watch film and let’s make some corrections and bring it.”There are plenty of things for Kansas City to correct. The Chiefs were penalized 10 times for 66 yards, five of them giving Los Angeles a first down. They failed to capitalize on two turnovers by Rivers, allowed the Chargers to convert 60 percent of their third downs and blew crucial assignments when they had a chance to put the game away. The two biggest came on the final drive of the game. After cornerback Kendall Fuller was called for pass interference — a debatable call given the pass appeared to be well out of reach — the Chargers had the ball at the Kansas City 1. Rivers floated a pass toward Williams along the sideline, and he outleaped Orlando Scandrick to haul it in.Then, after coach Anthony Lynn sent his offense back onto the field, the Chiefs blew the coverage on Williams so emphatically that nobody was within 10 yards of him on the 2-point conversion.Game over.Let the stewing begin.“Just miscommunication,” Fuller said of the conversion play. “We just got to cover our pieces at the end of the day. That’s something we have to work on Womens Rashad Fenton Jersey , prepare for and get better.”All is not lost for Kansas City. The Chargers may have forged a tie atop the division at 11-3, and have not split the season series, but the Chiefs hold the tiebreaker by virtue of their superior record in the division. They also maintain an inside track on homefield advantage, though their trip to Seattle and their home game against Oakland have taken on much more meaning. The Chiefs could have used those weeks to heal up for the playoffs. Now, they’ll visit a hot team in the Seahawks with much on the line before returning home to face another division rival.“Everybody feels that feeling, they want to get back out there tomorrow,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said. “So we’re going to have a long 10 days. Then we’re going to Seattle, which is a tough place to play Authentic Rashad Fenton Jersey , and they’re playing really good football right now. So we’re just going to recuperate, see what we did well and see what we didn’t do so well and find ways to use this as fuel.”The opportunity to recuperate may be what Kansas City needs most.Strong safety Eric Berry made his season debut after dealing with a heel injury since training camp, and he’ll have time to receive treatment before trying to play more against the Seahawks. The Chiefs are hopeful they’ll get some of their offensive stars back. Running back Spencer Ware was out Thursday night with a hamstring injury, wide receiver Sammy Watkins missed his third game with a foot injury and offensive lineman Cam Erving was sidelined with a knee injury.“So what do we do? We get back on it,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “You have to be resilient. That’s what you do, you learn from your mistakes. That’s real. Then you become a better team and get yourself ready to go play Seattle and that’s what we will do.”

Let’s break it down, unit by unit. Depth perception: Grading the Cardinals’ depth for each unitTE Ricky Seals-Jones has both intrigued and frustrated Cardinals fans in the past. Now, he’s one of our strongest backups. What does that say about the rest of our roster depth?Denny Medley-USA TODAY SportsNow that the long and strange draft season is over (all that’s left is signing the contracts), we finally have a clear idea of what next season’s Arizona Cardinals team will look like. Over the past few weeks, GM Steve Keim addressed the last remaining holes in the starting lineup—DE, WR3, CB3—with Rodney Gunter and (likely) Andy Isabella and had better not be done adding players here. Does anyone know what Dan Williams is up to these days?LinebackersProjected Starters: Chandler Jones, Jordan Hicks, Haason Reddick, Terrell SuggsNotable Depth: Brooks Reed, Vontarrius Dora Black Markus Golden Jersey , Tanner Vallejo, Zeke Turner, Dennis GardeckReed is really solid depth behind Suggs and will likely play near-starter’s snaps (and he could also potentially play some DE if we need him to, which helps). But there’s not much behind him—Vallejo is a JAG, Dora probably isn’t even that, and Turner and Gardeck are predominantly special teamers. Given Suggs’ age and Hicks’s injury history, this group likely needs one more pass rusher and some more competition at ILB. If I have one qualm about Keim’s draft class, it’s that he didn’t address this position at all. Maybe one of the UFDAs sticks?Depth Grade: D+. It’s only this high because of Reed—I don’t think we can count on any of the other guys right now. There are some available free agents that could potentially help—I like Andy’s suggestions of Shane Ray and familiar face Josh Bynes—but it’s clear that Keim needs to add a body or two at this position.SecondaryProjected Starters: Patrick Peterson, Budda Baker, D.J. Swearinger, Robert Alford, Byron Murphy (R)Notable Depth: Tramaine Brock, David Amerson, Josh Shaw Markus Golden Jersey 2019 , Deionte Thompson (R), Rudy FordSecondary is the lone defensive unit where depth isn’t a major question mark—the dropoff here isn’t nearly as pronounced as it would be at DL or LB. Backup corners Brock, Amerson, and Shaw are all capable and experienced, if not the most talented (although all three probably won’t make the roster). At safety, if Thompson is healthy he might force his way out of a backup role before you know it. He’ll be an interesting player to watch this preseason. Ford is more of a special teamer, but you could do worse as a depth safety. There aren’t any major concerns here.Depth Grade: B-. No world-beaters here, but these guys are all solid. The backup corners aren’t too far off Alford’s level (although that probably says more about what I think of Alford), and Thompson was a gift in the 5th round. This unit seems pretty set heading into OTAs.Final ThoughtsOf the eight units listed above, the final results were three grades in the B range, one in the C range, and four in the D range. Using a traditional college grading scale (and I should know, as I’m a college professor when I’m not writing about the Redbirds), that comes out to about a D+ overall grade for the Cardinals depth. That sounds about right to me. It’s clear that Keim still has work to do in building this team—especially in the trenches. So what do you think Black Josh Rosen Jersey , Cardinals fans? Were my grades too harsh? (I’ve had that complaint before.) Any units you think are stronger than the others? Any units you’re more concerned about? Let’s discuss depth in the comments. No new posts When Vikings radio announcer Paul Allen
appeared on in February Big And Tall Cameron Smith Jersey , he floated cornerback Xavier Rhodes‘ name while discussing players who could be moved to improve the team’s cap situation. Those comments caught Rhodes’ attention and head coach Mike Zimmer’s comments about Rhodes from this week’s league meetings in Arizona will likely do the same. Rhodes’ $10.4 million base salary became fully guaranteed on March 15 and Zimmer said that he doesn’t think the cornerback has played well enough to justify the deal he signed with the team in 2017.“I just don’t think he played as well as he can play,” Zimmer said, via the . “He needs to play up to his ability level. We’re paying him a lot of money. He needs to play up to that contract.”Better health would likely be a step in the right direction for Rhodes after he missed two games and was limited in others during the 2018 season. He said at the end of the season that he learned a lesson about trying to return too soon from injuries, but the key to living up to Zimmer’s expectations may be avoiding them in the first place. The Miami Dolphins enjoyed quite the emotional high last week, defeating despised New England with a double-lateral touchdown that covered 69 yards on the game's final play to give their long-shot postseason bid a big lift.On the road in Minnesota, Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins, literally, came crashing back to the turf. The Vikings used a career-high 136 rushing yards and two touchdowns by Dalvin Cook to complement a swarming defense that took down Tannehill behind the line of scrimmage nine times for 71 lost yards in a 41-17 victory on Sunday, tying Miami's franchise record for sacks allowed."All around, starting with me, we weren't good enough Cameron Smith Minnesota Vikings Jerseys ," Tannehill said.Tannehill, who left the game against New England briefly because of an ankle injury, said afterward he felt fine despite the series of collisions he made with the ground throughout the afternoon. Miami's chance in the AFC wild-card race took the biggest hit, with Baltimore, Indianapolis and Tennessee all winning to move to 8-6 and push the Dolphins (7-7) into ninth place in the conference race. The Dolphins were sacked nine times on Dec. 11, 2011, in a 26-10 loss to Philadelphia, with four against Matt Moore and five on J.P. Losman. They also gave up nine sacks on Oct. 17, 1999, all against Damon Huard after he relieved an injured Dan Marino in a 31-30 victory at New England.Coach Adam Gase, whose team fell to 1-6 on the road this year Minnesota Vikings Jerseys Stitched , put the blame for the awful pass protection largely on the offensive line, running backs and tight ends for not giving Tannehill much of a chance."We just didn't block well enough," Gase said. "We knew what we were in for as far as the pass rush. They just beat us."The Vikings saved eight of their sacks for the second half, after Kalen Ballage's 75-yard touchdown run on the first snap of the third quarter pulled the Dolphins within 21-17 after they'd fallen behind 21-0.On first-and-10 from Miami's 38, Tannehill was sacked for a 9-yard loss by blitzing linebacker Anthony Barr. Defensive end Danielle Hunter took him down for an 8-yard loss on the next play, putting the Dolphins in an extremely difficult third-and-27 situation. Tannehill completed an 8-yard dumpoff to Danny Amendola, and the Dolphins had to punt. On their five possessions following the rookie Ballage's score, the Dolphins netted a staggering minus-27 yards on 16 plays."Personally, I played my worst game of the season," said running back Kenyon Drake, the hero of the previous game after he crossed the goal line following a 52-yard slither and scamper through New England's secondary. "I let the team down. I missed a couple key blocks on third down. So you've got to look yourself in the mirror and be motivated to get better."No matter what was going to unfold for the Dolphins down the stretch Cameron Smith Jersey nfl draft , topping that "Miami Miracle" sequence was going to be tough. The way they performed against the Vikings all but cemented that play as the season highlight.Though they fell behind by three touchdowns after Minnesota's first three possessions, the Dolphins insisted they didn't carry any emotional hangover with them this week . The way they rallied from the early deficit offered evidence that this was true, but the way they wilted over the final 28 minutes of the game raised plenty of questions about the direction of the team nearing the end of Gase's third year. After going 10-6 and making the playoffs in his rookie season, the Dolphins are 13-17 over the last two years, albeit with Tannehill missing 21 of those 30 games to injury. The Dolphins have been outscored 218-120 in road games this season. They're 7-17 away from home under Gase, with 11 losses in their last 12 road games."From my perspective, the guys did a good job of moving on to prepare for Minnesota and not letting it bleed into the next week," Tannehill said. "We didn't come out and execute well from the first snap."

aps the worst roster in the league this year http://www.thedolphinslockerroom.com/authentic-mike-hull-jersey , which leads to talk that they’re tanking under first-year coach Brian Flores in 2019 and hoping to draft a franchise quarterback in 2020. But Flores downplays the extent to which his team is rebuilding.Asked whether he’s overseeing a rebuilding process, Flores said his process is no different than any other team’s.“I think every team’s rebuilding. That’s this league. Every team rebuilds every year because no team is the same every year,” Flores told NFL Media. “So the Patriots are going to be different than they were last year. So are the Bills or Jets. So is every other team. So that’s my personal philosophies. Last year was last year. This year is this year.”As for tanking talk, Flores is adamant that he wants to win, not earn the first overall pick in the draft.“I can tell you, we’re going to go try, gonna go out there and try to win every game. That’s gonna be our goal every week,” Flores said.If Flores can win with the roster he’s been given, he’ll be a coach of the year candidate. More likely, the Dolphins will suffer through an ugly 2019 season but start to put the pieces together in 2020. I can’t believe this year is almost over...wow.It’s been yet another fun year to scout and enjoy this great game; below I have compiled a jumble of notes and thoughts on a handful of prospects and potential prospects for the up coming NFL Draft. So, please enjoy this edition and feel free to comment below. Thanks for reading.D’Andre Walker, LB, GeorgiaIt was easy to spot Walker during the SEC championship game - he was terrific. However, it wasn’t just that game, he’s been great all season long - Walker has been an impressive prospect. He’s got great instincts Womens Charles Harris Jersey , very versatile and has great pass rushing skills.I also love his drive and hustle that he shows.John David Mercer-USA TODAY SportsJeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi St.Simmons is another guy who has enjoyed a fantastic season. To get right to the point, I think Quinnen Williams is the best guy I’ve scouted this season and Simmons isn’t far behind him.I think he’s solid against the run and his athleticism makes him a pretty good pass rusher from the DT position. He is a solid first round pick and an immediate contributor in the NFL.Vasha Hunt-USA TODAY SportsParris Campbell, WR, Ohio St.I have been a fan of Campbell for quite some time and he did not disappoint me this season.I think he’s one of the most dangerous receivers in the country and I obviously love his speed - especially at his size. He is an exciting player to watch and a guy who could immediate help any NFL team. Aaron Doster-USA TODAY SportsZach Allen, DE, Boston CollegeAllen is a guy who I don’t believe is getting enough attention.....and many people have him as a first round prospect.I have really liked the film I’ve watched on Allen this season.I think he’s quick, strong, great tackler, non-stop motor, hell of a run stopper and provides a good pass rush.Allen is a fantastic prospect and already one of favorites in this draft. Winslow Townson-USA TODAY SportsJosh Allen, LB, KentuckyJosh Allen is getting a lot of love right now and rightfully so.After I saw that he won the Nagurski Trophy I wasn’t surprised at all- he had a phenomenal year. For me, I can’t remember another prospect that I saw improve so much between 2 seasons.I am very impressed with Allen and see a bright future ahead of him in the NFL. No new posts Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks:
Five Rams to watch revisited It wasn’t pretty C.J. Anderson Jersey , but the Rams scratched and clawed their way to 5-0 with a tough 33-31 victory at Seattle. Heading into the game, there were a few narratives in play: a) the Rams would waltz into the Clink and destroy the shorthanded Seahawks, or b) winning on the road against a proud divisional opponent is never easy. Obviously, scenario “b” is what transpired. Here’s a look at Sean Wilkinson’s Five Rams to watch and how they performed on Sunday.ILB Mark BarronIn his season debut, Mark Barron logged 48 snaps (80%) and registered 9 total tackles, 5 of which were solo. His presence was felt, as he was able to lay some lumber on the Seattle RBs. Still, the Seahawks’ success on the ground was a big factor in the game, and though Barron’s return was welcome, the LB unit as a whole was once again underwhelming. Barron’s injury was more than likely a high ankle sprain and not an achilles issue, as was widely speculated — if it’s indeed behind him, look for him to return to form against the Bronco’s talented RB duo.RB Todd GurleyIt’s strange when you’d call a 3-TD Samson Ebukam Jersey , 100 all-purpose yardage game ho-hum, but Todd Gurley has set such a high standard that his solid showing on Sunday was just that. His 3.5 YPC wasn’t exactly awe-inspiring, but on the Rams’ final scoring drive, he did have a few nice 6-yard carries to help put us in position to win. He was also denied a TD on a questionable review. With the Rams’ success throwing the ball, it’s only a matter of time before Gurley breaks a few long runs, but he was unable to best his season-long rush of 23 yards on Sunday.K Cairo SantosNewly signed K Cairo Santos almost cost the Rams the game on Sunday with a badly missed PAT, but he recovered to nail the game-winning 39-yarder when the pressure was really on. Given the state of place-kicking this season — Mason Crosby, anyone? — we’ll take it. Also: Santos looked like an NFL kicker, something no one ever said about Sam Ficken. A solid first game for the GZ placeholder.CB Sam ShieldsTwo weeks ago, I picked Troy Hill as one of my Rams to watch, but Marcus Peters was activated in a game-time decision, and Hill played just 2 snaps. This week Cooper Kupp Jersey , Hill got the nod over Vikings’ punching bag Sam Shields, as the veteran CB was on the field for just 10 plays. He continues to show a nose for the ball, with one near-INT in his limited action. Though Hill looked pretty solid opposite Peters (who did not), Shields likely remains a valuable part of the LA secondary as Wade Phillip’s rotates personnel.DL Ndamukong SuhIn what was probably his best game as a Ram to date, Suh registered 7 total tackles (3 solo) and a sack. He also had a sack negated by a defensive holding penalty. Not only is the big fella getting sacks and pressures from all over the line, he’s getting them at critical moments in games. While we’re all sitting around feeling sorry for ourselves (at 5-0!) and our lack of sacks, Suh is quietly having a badass season so far. If you want to nitpick, you can implicate him for some of the Rams run-stopping woes, but from here it looks like 93 is doing his job and doing it well. The Rams didn’t have a first round pick either of the last two years, and they might not pick tonight, either. This week the Rams’ front office noted the possibility of trading down from the 31st overall pick, and Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that they have received calls from teams interested in trading for that pick. Some teams put extra value on first-round picks because of the contract structure of first-rounders. Players drafted in the second round can sign only four-year contracts John Johnson Jersey , but players drafted in the first round get fifth-year options, which can be valuable to the team for keeping down the player’s price later in his career. That’s why teams are often willing to give up more to move up from, say, No. 35 to No. 31 than they would be willing to give up to move up from, say, No. 39 to No. 35.So the Rams, who don’t have a lot of pressing needs, may benefit from a deal that could fetch them additional picks for moving down from the late first round to the early second round.

The winner receives a $25,000 donation from the NFL Foundation to a charity of his choice, as well as a trophy. Here is the full list of nominees for the award. The former longtime Chiefs linebacker lands in Indianapolis."After eight seasons with the team, former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker (and now defensive end, as you’ll read below) Justin Houston is headed to the Indianapolis Colts http://www.chiefslockerroom.com/authentic-eric-murray-jersey , as first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Chiefs released Houston back on March 10 after general manager Brett Veach admitted to ongoing dialogue on the linebacker at the NFL’s Scouting Combine.“There was dialogue and I mentioned that at the combine,” Veach said on March 14. “I’m sure Justin will be signed here soon and he’ll do well for himself. He’s certainly a guy that can be added to a number of teams and make an impact.”It only took another week.Houston, 30, signed a two-year deal worth $24 million with the Colts. Schefter reported that Colts general manager Chris Ballard inquired about Dee Ford but instead chose to hold onto his draft picks and wait for Houston. The Chiefs traded Ford to the San Francisco 49ers instead.Ballard, if you recall Womens Dustin Colquitt Jersey , served the Chiefs under then-GM John Dorsey as their director of player personnel from 2013-14 and director of football operations from 2015-16. That stint came after 11 years an area scout for the Chicago Bears. Ballard thus knows Houston well. The Colts’ plan to use Houston as a defensive end, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.“I have plenty left in the tank,” Houston told the Andrew Walker of the Colts’ official website. “I think some people don’t believe that, but I feel like I’ve got plenty to show the world.”The Chiefs will host Houston at Arrowhead Stadium when they play the Colts during the 2019 season. That date is still to be announced.

While often the source of highlight plays and post game quotes when he was actually on the field, he was never able to make a consistent impact. Ultimately, Byrd’s role as a speedy, versatile Youth Marquis Haynes Jersey , and often injured wide receiver has been usurped over the past two years by the younger, faster, more versatile, and more often injured Curtis Samuel.Panthers fans will never forget head coach Ron Rivera arguing with the refs, successfully, that Byrd was in bounds on a game winning touchdown due to his having a “narrow ass.” That butt drag swag Stitched Marquis Haynes Jersey , as Cam called it, was one of the highlight moments of an otherwise forgettable 2017 season.Of interest, Byrd is one of the few edge-of-the-roster free agents from Rivera’s tenure to gain traction with another team not currently helmed by a former assistant. Stay tuned as we investigate the legality of teams exploring new talent and instead of recycling old names. In the meantime, look for the Panthers to consider signing Brenton Bersin to round out their wide receiver room for the summer. Jacobs replaces Heath Farwell, who left Carolina to be the Buffalo Bills’ special teams coordinator. The Panthers released Jacobs yesterday prior to him becoming a free agent in March, and there was speculation that coaching was in his future. It appears that speculation was true.Jacobs joins Chase Blackburn on the Panthers’ special teams coaching staff. In news that is sure to rival the response to Eric Reid signing a new three year contract earlier today, the Carolina Panthers have granted linebacker and special teamer Ben Jacobs his release, per Field Yates. As alluded to in the above tweet, this makes Ben Jacobs eligible to be signed by any team immediately as opposed to being forgotten about in the free agent frenzy. Moves like this are usually extended as an act of courtesy to players who have decent tenure on a team Stitched Ian Thomas Jersey , but for whatever reason are not going to be re-signed. The Panthers don’t owe him any additional money, and this allows him to garner some attention during a time where not a lot is happening across the league other than re-signings.This also means that Jacobs could find his way back onto the team anyway, should he not garner much interest in the open market, as right now the Panthers need to keep their cap options open for other priority signings. We wish Ben Jacobs the best, as he has been a good special teamer for us for quite awhile. Maybe he’ll get a chance to play more linebacker somewhere else in the league.
