Auswandern-Uruguay ! Die Alternative zu Europa ? Ein Forum über das Auswandern nach, bzw. Einwandern und Leben in Uruguay
Über Uruguay gibt es kaum Informationen in Bezug auf die Einwanderung und das Leben als Europäer dort. Falls man sich entschließt aus Deutschland wegzuziehen, ist unserer Meinung nach Uruguay eine echte Alternative zu den typischen europäischen Auswanderländern am Mittelmeer, wie z.B. Spanien, Italien, Frankreich etc. Die Bevölkerung besteht zu 100% aus europäischen Einwanderern und das Klima entspricht dem in Südspanien bzw. dem in Südafrika (Western Cape - Kapstadt).
We are planning a whole-day excursion with a restored English Beyer Peacock steam engine, made in Manchester in 1910, hauling two beautifully renovated Allan passenger cars (1952) with air conditioning and all mod. cons. We have reserved October 25th (now fixed at Saturday, 8 November) but we can change that date if necessary. The trip will be to, perhaps Santa Lucía or Juanicó, leaving Montevideo at about 09.30 (10.30) and returning from our destination at about 16.30. Activities at our destination will be arranged when we know that we have enough support to make the trip viable.
The problem we have is that it is not cheap. If we manage to raise 150 paying passengers, it will cost about $450 (pesos!) each. The maximum capacity is 192 people, and if we reach that total, the cost falls to $335 each. (You have got 2-3 months to save up for this.) These prices are for British Society members, but we can certainly accept non-members, though they will pay a little more.
