Ich habe die letzten Stunden damit verbracht, das Forum hier zu durchstöbern und mich nun dazu entschieden mich euch vorzustellen.

Ich bin 30 Jahre alt und 1984 wurde ein Retinoblastom im linken Auge diagnostiziert. Mein Auge wurde mittels Ruthenium-Bestrahlung erhalten, ist seit dieser Zeit blind. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass dies eine eher ungewöhnliche Behandlungsmethode war/ist, da ich nahezu ausschließlich von Enukleationen hier lese. Ich bin sehr froh, mein Auge noch zu haben, allerdings nehmen die psychischen Probleme immer mehr zu, obwohl ich keine negativen Reaktionen erfahre. Es sind wohl eher noch die unverarbeiteten Erlebnisse und Folgen, die dazu führen. Daher beschäftige ich mich jetzt verstärkt mit dem Thema und bin froh, dieses Forum gefunden zu haben, da ich niemanden mit der Diagnose RB persönlich kenne.

Ein für mich wichtiger Aspekt ist die Behandlung in der damaligen DDR an der Augenklinik in Leipzig. Im Forum habe ich von Ildiko aus Rumänien gelesen, die auch von Prof. Lommatzsch behandelt und operiert wurde. Deshalb habe ich die Hoffnung, über dich - Ildiko - mehr zu der damaligen Situation in Leipzig und den Zusammenhängen zu erfahren. Ich glaube, dass dies sehr wichtig ist, meine eigene Geschichte zu verstehen und einzuordnen.

Außerdem würde ich gerne einen Beitrag zu dem Buch von Christina leisten, sofern dies noch aktuell ist. Der Aufruf liegt ja schon einige Zeit zurück und ich kann nicht erkennen, ob bzw. was zwischenzeitlich passiert ist. Ich hoffe sehr auf Feedback von euch und einen interessanten und hilfreichen Austausch.
