möchte mich nur kurz vorstellen als Betroffene. Hatte bilaterales Retinoblaston ab Geburt. Habe ein Auge verloren mit 15 Monaten, auf dem anderen (57 und 68 nochmal) durch Bestrahlungs- und Lasernarben große Gesichtsfeldeinschränkungen. (Habt Ihr 'ne Ahnung wie 1957 bestrahlt worden ist ??, direkt am Sehnerv?, hat geklappt !!) Lebe damit seit nun 50 Jahren, fahre Auto. bin Motorrad gefahren, habe studiert Literaturwissenschaft(Mutter: du wirst dir mit dem Lesen noch das Auge ruinieren! HaHa...) und qualifiziert gearbeitet

und 2001 mit 43 Jahren ein absolut gesundes (Genom-Untersuchung: Freispruch!, er hat nix!!!) Kind zur Welt gebracht.

schön, auch mal von einer Älteren zu hören. bin Jahrgang 1964 und auch bds. betroffen, wie auch meine Schwester.
Das wurde mit 6 Wochen festgestellt, als es bei meiner Schwester mit 2 1/2 Jahren zu spät erkannt wurde, sie verstarb mit 4 Jahren. Ich wurde mit den damaligen üblichen (wie bestimmt auch bei dir) extremen Gammastrahlen vollgepumpt. Die Folgen kann dir niemand erzählen, da es viel zu wenige gibt die das erleiden mussten, wie wir und von denen leben ja auch nur noch wenige. Nun habe ich eine eigene Familie mit gesundem 15jährigen Sohn und selbst viele Probleme durch die damalige starke Röntgenbestrahlung. Bin vor kurzem wieder an einem Hirntumor operiert worden (siehe Forum), wie 1989 schon mal und alles sind wohl Folgeschäden, aber nicht bösartig. Hoffentlich, denn der jetzige Befund steht noch aus, gehe Ende des Monats zur ersten Kontrolluntersuchung in die Klinik. Und euren Kind geht es gut? Das ist klasse. Ich möchte bald eine Gentypanalyse machen lassen, ob unser Sohn den Defekt auf dem 13. Chromosomenpaar hat, oder das gesunde meiner Frau erbte.

Wir haben uns letztes Jahr unbefangen mit Kind und Kegel das erste Mal in der BRD getroffen. Dieses Jahr leider nicht, vielleicht klappt es ja wieder 2008.

Hallo Petra,

ich wurde 1968 operiert, mein linkes Auge musste dran glauben.
Ich wurde nie bestrahlt, meine Nervenenden meines kranken Auges
waren noch gesund. Hatte nur jahrelang Kontrolle unter Narkose.

Ich habe auch den Führerschein gemacht, fahre aber nicht mehr,
weil sich mein "gesundes" Auge verschlechtert hat u. mir einfach
der Blickwinkel abgeht. Habe minus 12 Dioptrien.
Ich habe 2 gesunde Jungen (zumindest an den Augen!).
