Hallo! Ich bin neu hier im Forum und brauche mal euren Rat...
Mein Sohn hatte jetzt bisschen was über 2 wochen lang eine provisorische Prothese drin gehabt (die Entfernung des Auges war am 30.08.13)... am Anfang war die lidspalte fast genau so wie bei dem gesunden Auge, doch dann ist es weiter abgeschwollen und das Auge war dann recht weit zu... nun haben wir heute die 1. Richtige Prothese in lauscha anfertigen lassen und an der lidspalte hat sich nicht viel verändert... das Auge ist nur halb geöffnet... auf meine frage hin wie das mit der lidspalte sei, erklärte man mir das es zu viel Druck ausüben würde wenn man die Prothese jetzt so groß anfertigen würde das dass lid ganz auf geht... er wird es in einem halben jahr wieder etwas dicker machen und dann geht das lid wieder etwas weiter auf...
Jetzt bin ich mir unsicher ob das alle okularisten so machen oder ob es da Unterschiede gibt... ich kenne mich halt in dieser Sache noch nicht wirklich aus... und wenn das die normale Vorgehensweise ist, wie lang dauert es dann etwa bis man ein "normal offenes Auge" hat?
Ich bin mir natürlich bewusst darüber das die op noch nicht so lang her ist und man nicht erwarten kann das die Prothese genau so ist wie ein echtes Auge aber ich möchte natürlich das Beste für unseren Sohn... es wäre lieb wenn ihr mir weiter helfen könntet!

unsere Tochter hat seit ca. 1,5 Jahren ein Glasauge.

Das erste war noch einwandig und wie du schreibst etwas kleiner. Ich war da auch irgendwie enttäuscht....

Das zweite bekam sie nach ca. 3 Monaten, das war dann zweiwandig und das Auge sah wirklich perfekt aus. Inzwischen hat sie das 5. oder 6 Auge und es ist irgendwie jedesmal anders, je nach dem wie er es beim Anfertigen hinbekommt.

Die vorletzte sah von der Größe her sehr gut aus, aber das Auge hat sich nicht ganz geschlossen und war oft entzündet, jetzt hat sie eines dass etwas kleiner ist und es ist besser.
Ich denke das erste wird nie perfekt sein und wichtig ist dass es erstmal "funktioniert" und das Kind wieder ein "normales" Leben führen kann....
Bei unserer Tochter ist es auch so, das sich manche Prothesen leicht bewegen, die jetzige ist aber fast "starr". Und du wirst sehen, bei einem Wachstumschub sieht man manchmal innerhalb ein paar Wochen, dass das Auge zu klein geworden ist.

Mit der Farbe ist es auch so, dass die jedesmal ein bischen anders ist. Ich nehme jetzt zur Neuanfertigung immer ein "altes" Auge mit, das von der Farbe her super war und gebe es als Vorlage.

Ich kann mir vorstellen wie es dir momentan geht. Man steht wochenlang nur unter Schock und versucht alles zu machen damit es seinem Schatz wieder gut geht... Wie kommt ihr mit dem Reinigen klar?
Bei uns war das die ersten Wochen sehr schwierig, aber im laufe der Zeit gings dann...

Du hattest bestimmt als erstes diese Interims Prothesen. Zum Aufbau der Augenhöhle. Die sehen immer komisch aus. Aber das gibt sich wenn ihr die ersten Prothesen hinter euch habt. Wir kommen mit den doppelwandigen nicht so klar. Wir haben seit vier Jahren nur einwandige und sind sehr zufrieden. Kopf hoch. Nach vorne schauen. Wenn fragen sind hier wird euch geholfen. Aus welchem Teil Deutschlands kommt ihr ?

Wie oft nehmt ihr die Prothese raus ? Und wieso habt ihr Probleme gehabt beim Reinigen ?

Wieso kommt ihr mit der doppelwandigen nicht zurecht? Wie ist das bei Euch mit der Beweglichkeit? Verena hat einen Ball implantiert, wenn das Glasauge raus ist, sieht man dass sich der sehr gut mit bewegt, die Prothese bewegt sich aber kaum, das finde ich ein bisschen schade...

Jetzt bekomme ich wahrscheinlich wieder böse Mails, aber wir nehmen die Prothese nur bei Bedarf rauf, d. h. wenn wie irgendwie verklebt ist oder Verena z. b. im Sandkasten war. Die Prothese bleibt manchmal mehrere Tage drin. Lt. Prothetiker gibt es Erwachsene die die Prothese nie rausmachen....

Wir hatten anfänglich Probleme weil sich Verena so stark gewehrt hat. Aber sie hatte natürlich Schmerzen und seit einem halben Jahr wissen wir dass sie auch noch Rheuma hat, was sie wohl damals auch schon hatte und vermutlich hat ihr nicht nur das Auge sonder auch alle Gelenke weh getan. Da kann man schon verstehen, wenn ein Kind nicht mehr will. Deshalb nehme ich auch jetzt die Prothese nicht wie in Essen empfohlen täglich raus.
Verena muss sehr viele Medikamente nehmen und wöchentlich zum Blutabnehmen, da will ich nicht noch mehr als nötig in ihren Körper eingreifen....

Wie oft macht ihr sie raus?

Die doppelwandige hatte bei unseren kleinen nie so gut gehalten. Ständig verdreht usw. Bewegen tut sich seine Prothese auch nicht. Was aber auch nicht wirklich schlimm ist. Wir nehmen sie jeden Abend raus. Das ist schon unser Ritual. Abends geht das Auge auch brav ins bettchen. Probleme beim reinigen gibt es nicht.
So eine silikonkugel hat er auch. Die ist aber nicht sichtbar. Manchmal sieht man das sich die Prothese bewegt. Aber nicht dolle. Wie haben uns daran gewöhnt. Hauptsache die grösse ist mit dem anderen Auge fast identisch.

Hallo!
Unser Sohn hat mit 1,5 Jahren das Auge entfernt bekommen. Hatte nie so eine große Lidspalte. Wir haben fast alle 4 Wochen in der Anfangszeit ein neues Glasauge anfertigen lassen, weil es nach der OP doch stark angeschwollen war und es immer wieder etwas abgeschwollen war. Am Anfang sind wir immer nach Essen gefahren. Es hat mir da aber nie so richtig gut gefallen. Wir fahren jetzt immer nach Hamburg zu Heumann. Die sind total toll und gehen auch echt super mit den Kids um. Sind nicht genervt und nehmen sich viel Zeit. Die Farbe bekommen Sie auch immer super hin. Bei fast jeder Netzhautkontrolle werden wir angesprochen zu welchem Ocularisten wie fahren, weil das Glasauge recht gut gemacht ist.
