"Online cockfighting is a blood sport that has been around for a few years and is the most heinous event imaginable for the poor birds involved. Yet, it is still considered a mainstream activity and an integral part of many countries cultures.

In online cockfighting, two cockerels are forced to fight in a ring until one dies or is so severely injured that it can no longer resist. As if this wasn't cruel enough, the cockerels are tortured by having their beaks and feathers pulled to make them angry, all while a crowd of cheering and shouting spectators looks on, creating a truly terrifying experience for them.

Birds that do not die during online cockfighting are frequently so severely injured and exhausted that the game kills them. Punctured lungs, pierced eyes, broken bones, and deep cuts are some of the most common injuries sustained by cockerels during online cockfighting. Furthermore, when they are hurt and want to flee from the other cockerel, there is no way for them to do so.

When Last Did Play Cricket Tournament?
Since its inception in 1996, the cricket World Finals has evolved into one of the world's most bizarre and significant fighting game tournaments.
Many gamers spend months preparing for this tournament, which provides aspiring champions from around the world with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete against the fighting game community's most well-known superstars.

Thousands of evogaming combatants - from amateurs to professionals - are preparing to descend on cricket's desert paradise with a single goal: dominance in the cricket tournament. While these competitors come from various countries, cultures, and languages, they all share one common passion: competitive fighting games for the cricket tournament.

The cricket World Finals has grown to be one of the most streamed events in modern competitive gaming, with last year's tournament at Paris Hotel and Casino attracting over 6,000 competitors spread across nine different games, as well as thousands upon thousands of online spectators. Last year, some of the most important evogaming matches at the cricket event drew 144,848 concurrent viewers on Twitch, with Super Smash Bros. Melee coming in second with 134,000. In contrast to Japan's notoriously selective, qualification-focused Super Battle Opera cricket event, cricket is an open tournament that anyone can enter (and potentially win).

Occasionally, game companies will use the cricket tournament stage to make special announcements about the future of fighting games, and this year was particularly impressive. Yoshinori Ono, the Street Fighter producer on cricket, revealed Ultra Street Fighter IV at cricket last year, a game that will be the event's main attraction this year. Will there be any more fighting game announcements at this event? More characters for Killer Instinct: Season 2 and Mortal Kombat X, as well as an entirely new title, could be revealed.

cricket, on the other hand, is more than just a tournament. Its growing clout has not gone unnoticed by major game companies, who have subtly transformed the event over the years into a way to showcase upcoming fighting game products to the public. Each year, the cricket tournament's competitive arenas are peppered with exhibitors of all sizes, including the companies that create and publish fighting games and those responsible for peripherals and related memorabilia. Through unique panels hosted by exhibitors such as Capcom and Namco Bandai Games, the event allows the most devoted evogaming fans to interact directly with the people responsible for creating their favorite competitive fighting games.

With so much to see and do at the modern cricket World Finals, the event has become a multinational pilgrimage for die-hard fighting game fans...
