That's Kaori Yuki's latest one shot story, featured in "Betsu Hana to Yume" January 2003 edition.
It looks like there have been some mysterious vampire-like murders going on, and who else does hyperactive, loud-mouthed Rion suspect but Suou, a devishly handsome worker of a male host club. (Well, along with everyone else working at the club) This story is cuter and more lighthearted than Kaori Yuki's typical works, but it's still got all those Kaori Yuki elements in there. A great read!

Yuki Kaori, known for her gothic style and manga such as Angel Sanctuary and Count Cain has released her newest work, a fairly short story that stood on it's own called "Bloodhound". It's about a girl named Rion whose friend disappeared after she confessed to Rion that she gave blood to a vampire that she liked. Rion goes to the "Krankenhaus" (because the address was on a card that her friend gave to her) and blames the owner for her friends disappearance, saying that he is a vampire. When he tries to get her to leave, she breaks a very expensive bottle of wine (on purpose of course) to get to the bottom of the issue, get her friend back, and prove that all the men at the "Krankenhaus" are vampires.

Beurteilung:

As a fan of Yuki Kaori, I can't say that I was that impressed. This comic seems quite a bit lighter than her others. There are no twisted relationships, not even any excessive blood. I can say that I wasn't all that impressed with it compared to her older works. It wasn't even that great of a story either (though better than most artists can do given how long it was IMHO). I don't know what it is. Maybe Yuki Kaori is just getting older and is tired of serial killers and demons and would rather go with the tired (VERY tired) and quite dried-out subject of vampires. Who knows?
