On the architecture of the technical solution
The breakdown by solution architecture is directly related to the ways to organize a VPN:

Intranet VPN connects geographically distributed company branches into a single shared Intranet network;
Remote Access VPN provides secure remote VPN access for individual office workers to corporate sites;
intercorporate Extranet VPN is responsible for the secure exchange of information through access channels with business partners or clients of the organization;
Internet VPN is common in provider networks where you need to provide access to multiple users over a single physical channel, such as ADSL technology;
Client / Server VPN is built between nodes in the same LAN segment, and the nodes can be the server and the user's computer. the goal is to differentiate access to data in the same physical network by creating dedicated logical ones.
