Iraqi Kurdish civilians bear the brunt of Turkish airstrikes

Turkey continues to conduct airstrikes against the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in spite of the unilateral ceasefire brought forth by the PKK. As the bombings go on, Turkey has scheduled critical elections less than three weeks away.

The announcement of the PKK’s ceasefire offer came immediately after the largest attack in Turkey’s modern history. On 10 October, two suicide bombers blew themselves up at a peace rally in Ankara, only five days after Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met EU leaders in Brussels to discuss the situation of Syria's refugees. In return for keeping Syrian refugees from reaching Europe, Erdoğan is asking the EU to support his war on the PKK.

Civilians, however, have bared the brunt in this war. Most of the casualties have been non-combatants, and a significant portion of those killed never took up arms against Turkey, but instead fought the Islamic State (IS) group in Syria and Iraq.

ISIS suspected behind the death of British journalist in Istanbul airport

ISIS is suspected to be behind the death of former BBC journalist Jacky Sutton who was found hanged in a toilet at Istanbul main Atatürk Airport yesterday.

The ISIS gangs that are supported by the AKP government by all means are now able to organise attacks anywhere across Turkey. The fact that the gang members never get caught because of their actions further proves the support provided to them by the Turkish state.

The death of a British woman, former BBC journalist Jacky Sutton, is also considered “suspicious” as her colleagues and friends express disbelief about reports that appeared on Turkish media that she had taken her life herself. They tell that she was being threatened with death, pointing out who might be involved and responsible for her death. Sutton previously wrote that she had been threatened by the ISIS.

Many say it again brings to mind the Turkish state's support to ISIS that ISIS members could freely enter into an highly protected airport without facing any problems.

Jailed ISIS member: MİT gave us arms at Tal Abyad border

An ISIS member captured by YPG/YPJ during Tal Abyad operation told ANF about the cooperation between the Turkish state and ISIS.

The ISIS member M.H. from Syria, who is currently jailed in Rojava, made striking confessions regarding the talks between ISIS and MİT (Turkish intelligence organisation) at the border between Tal Abyad city of Rojava and Akçakale district of Urfa province in the Turkish territory. M.H. told that MİT provided them with arms at the border, and Turkish ambulances carried wounded ISIS members to hospitals.

YBŞ (Shengal Resistance Units) Command and HPG (People's Defense Forces) Shengal Command have released a joint statement reporting that KDP's peshmerga forces blocked the road between Shengal and Rojava which has been used to meet the needs of the Êzidî people in Mount Shengal and the armed forces in the region.

Remarking that the Shengal-Rojava road blocked by KDP peshmerga has been used to meet the needs of logistic and health units, the statement noted that the local people in the areas of Kersê and Serdeşt have in response protested the hindrance by peshmerga forces.

YBŞ and HPG commands stressed that such policies and practices -which came during a process when the Kurdish people are waging a battle against ISIS- by no means served the benefits of the Kurdish people.

"An immediate end must be brought to such practices which are likely to cause provocations in the region. If the blocking is implemented by the local forces, the central power must immediately ensure an intervention and end to the hindrance. If it is a decision and implementation by the KDP, our forces will take positions and take precautions accordingly. Turkish Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioğlu who arrived South Kurdistan yesterday evening was met by KRG officials at Hewlêr airport, after which he went to the Prime Minister's office to meet Nechirvan Barzani.

The meeting between Sinirlioğlu and Barzani witnessed a discussion of the ongoing attacks against PKK locations in South Kurdistan territory, while the Turkish Minister asked for the strengthening of the already existing cooperation between two sides, and voiced the AKP government's expectation in this regard.

AKP has seized the power and will escalate the war

KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency has released a statement about the results of November 1 elections.

Describing the period since after June 7 election as a "political coup", KCK said AKP didn't win the election but seized the power, and will escalate its war against the Kurdish Freedom Movement and democracy forces in Turkey.

KCK remarked that November 1 election was forcibly imposed after the AKP and Tayyip Erdoğan ignored the results of June 7 election and staged a political coup against the will of peoples in an undemocratic and hegemonic manner.

The statement by KCK pointed out that AKP staged a coup within a coup by starting and expanding a war both inside and outside the country despite the fact that it was overthrown from the government and had no legitimacy left in the ruling.

According to KCK, AKP officially seized the power with November 1 election by means of various interventions after losing it in June 7 election. "What is reflected as AKP's election success is in fact a seizure of the power. In this regard, speaking of a success of AKP and a defeat of HDP should be seen as a cover-up of this seizure."

Unilateral inaction has ended due to AKP's ongoing attacks

A landslide victory in Turkey’s November 1 snap elections has removed the last obstacle in President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s drive to war. The surprise outcome of the balloting, which was widely denounced as “unfair and marred by fear and violence by international election observers”, has given Erdogan’s Justice and Development Party (AKP) 49 percent of the vote restoring single-party rule in Ankara. Turkey 'shells Kobane' as Kurdish-Arab forces advance on strategic town

The Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) has reported that the Turkish military fired on targets in Kobane in northern Syria.

The YPG press office said that the Turkish army shelled the village of Carikli on Tuesday morning. It also announced that Turkish shells hit an area to the west of Tal Abyad earlier in the morning.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has previously warned that YPG forces could come under attack if they strayed out of a designated area.

"We have said, 'The PYD will not pass to the west of the Euphrates. We'll hit them if they do,” Davutgolu told reporters in October.

“And we did hit them twice,” he said, referring to an earlier shelling of the outskirts of Tal Abyad by the military.

Turkey provides missiles for Al-Nusra gangs

As the Turkish state strengthens its assistance to Islamist groups in Syria, it came out that Turkey has sent ammunition to Al-Nusra from the Atme camp near the border of Efrîn.

According to the information obtained by ANHA (Hawar News Agency) from 'reliable sources', the Turkish state provided ammunition to Al-Nusra gangs on 2-3-4 November through the Atme camp in Cindirês district of Efrîn.

The ammunition, which includes anti-tank missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, a large number of munitions, light weapons and their bullets, is meant for Al-Nusra gangs in Aleppo.

On the other hand, activity of Turkish troops at the border between Efrîn and North Kurdistan, also continues. Most recently, Turkish soldiers have planted mines in Shadiya valley affiliated to Sorka village in Efrîn's Raco district.

Reports are coming through that Turkish helicopters have conducted an air strike on Tekel, Konak and Mescit neighborhoods of Amed's Silvan district.

Allegations of Arabic speaking people attack people in Silvan

Allegations have been voiced from Silvan that long-bearded and Arabic speaking men are taking place in the ongoing military operation against the civilian people in the district.

Health staff asking to be mentioned anonymous told that; “Some men in uniforms of special operation teams have brought wounded 'security officials' to the hospital for treatment. These men who have long beards like ISIS members were obviously foreigners and speaking Arabic among each other.”

HDP Batman deputy Mehmet Ali Aslan who spoke to Mednuçe TV from Silvan, has also confirmed the presence of likely ISIS members participating the operation in the district.
